Cottage vacation rentals in Ahedo

Host and their family went out of their way to assist us. Together we looked through our trip itinerary and made additional suggestions where appropriate. They helped us when we broke down with a flat tire communicating with the rental car company to get us a new rental and tow truck. Our last day we thought we had left some items at the rental after we had checked out and they went back to open the house up to allow us to get back inside and find our items. Very friendly. The house was great and overlooks a valley with the towns below. We were visited by cows and sheep and all the snails and slugs natural to the area. After hiking, biking, and visiting the surrounding towns it was a nice relaxing spot to come back to. I would highly recommend!

Highly recommended. We spent two nights, a group of 8 friends. The house is beautiful, spacious, cozy, tastefully decorated, and has all the details. We were very comfortable, looking forward to repeating.

Antonio is a fantastic host. Super responsive and very helpful especially with recommendations for local walks and for helping with animal health certificate requirements for returning to the UK. The house was big enough for the 11 of us and there was plenty for all of us to do for the whole week we were there. Any issues we had were resolved incredibly quickly by Antonio. Just a short walk from the house is a lovely little cafe that sells baguettes, coffee and some alcohol - very reasonably priced but please note only takes cash which caught us out on our first visit. We visited Balmaseda a couple of times which has an incredible bakery which I would very much recommend. The train station is less than 5 minutes walk but we didn’t get the train whilst we were there - it may have been quicker to get to bilbao and something to check out if you visit again. We are very happy to have spent these days there. It was very relaxing, beautiful place. The welcome was really warm. The house is as described and very convenient. We are really happy. Small bonus for sharing with these two dogs and these 4 ducks. 😍

Ideal accommodation for a few days of rest and relaxation. As shown in the photos, everything is impeccable and the environment is wonderful. Patricia has been very helpful and kind. And... The bathroom in the jacuzzi is a must, spectacular! In addition, it is perfect for going with a pet. We'll repeat!

We had a great weekend. It is an ideal house for large groups, very comfortable. The area offers many activities: hiking, visits...and the spa in the house is great for relaxing after a busy day. Great!

José Luis' house is very nice, we were welcomed by both of them and they were very nice, very helpful at all times and the truth is that it is a beautiful place to go

The house was very well maintained, clean and tidy. The garden is very large and completely enclosed, ideal if you are traveling with a dog. The area is very quiet with good walks, no shops nearby. Entry and out times were very flexible. Johanna was always very attentive to our requests.

The accommodation was in a nice area, with a great view of Santander and the bay, and very quiet. The location is very good to visit Cantabria, we went with a dog and a baby and it was very comfortable to move and visit things. On the other hand, Dany and she is very friendly and pleasant and was always attentive to if we needed anything, being very fluid communication.

Very comfortable rural home, with a large garden and barbecue, in a very quiet area but not isolated, safe and also great to go with pets. The host is very friendly and helpful, we'd be happy to return in the future

The house was spotless, with everything you need to feel comfortable. The setting is beautiful, there is a lot of peace and quiet, and it has spectacular views. Laura, the host, was attentive to whether we needed anything, and left us some sobaos and quesada as a welcome. We went with family and friends to spend the weekend and we wanted to spend more days there. In short, we felt right at home.

We spent a few days at Esmeralda's place and it couldn't have been better. The house is great, with everything you need; the location is perfect: surrounded by fields and cows; and well connected. Esmeralda was super attentive to what we might need; and her parents were lovely. Together they made our stay, some unbeatable days. Our children were delighted: they were allowed to bottle-feed the calves and with the whole field available they had a great time. Upon arrival they had left several sweets in the house for the children and us; and they gave us eggs from their chickens and fresh milk every morning. 100% recommended. We will definitely be back. Of those places and people worth knowing.

We went to disconnect from the city and rest as a family. We met Emilio and his wife there, who are always there to help you in any way they can. The house, which is really super spacious and cozy, has 3 bedrooms: two double and one with two single beds. A bathroom and an American-style living room with kitchen. The arrival to the house is on a gravel road, but it is not difficult to drive on it. There are cows, you're in the countryside! But there's no smell, no discomfort, on the contrary, it helps you disconnect. You share a location with two other rented houses adjacent to this one, which are also Emilio's. The truth is that it was an inconvenience for us because we did not want to be sharing space; but the truth is that they were not noticed at all. Our dog was loose at all times. It is true that it is not fenced, but there is no danger around. Thank you so much so much for everything!🤗

Great house with a spectacular txoko for the youngest. Very spacious living room and everything is very clean. Communication with Marta was perfect. We'll be back!

This house was absolutely breathtaking. Although it is not in a main city it is definitely close by and worth a stay. This place overlooks a beautiful vineyard and makes you feel like you're in a little oasis. The outdoor entertainment was amazing with an outdoor kitchen and barbecue that allows for wonderful nights enjoying your time. The views are incredible, the town is peaceful. Hosts were extremely kind, helpful and gave great recommendations.

The house is very comfortable and has everything, we have been 3 families with children and we had a stay of 10. The comfortable beds, enough space and the garden with BBQ a wonder!

Fully equipped house, the first time I've found all kinds of kitchenware and cleaning products. Very spacious and comfortable, the porch and garden are a luxury, located in a very quiet village with sufficient services. Very well located, close to all areas of interest. Totally recommended. I'll definitely be back.

Our stay has been amazing. The place is great, in the middle of nature, an ideal and peaceful place to relax. A beautiful garden and a very chulo apartment. In addition, it is 10 minutes away from the beach. And what about Itziar, it's a charm, attentive to everything you ask for and even what you might need. Mari Carmen's house is in an enviable setting. Surrounded by nature and maximum tranquility, it allows you to completely disconnect from daily stress and enjoy its countless walking routes, as well as fantastic restaurants with local dishes at really interesting prices Marí Carmen was always very friendly and was waiting for us personally upon our arrival. She even gave us some cartons of milk that we had forgotten to bring. Being a small town, it does not have any shops where you can buy basic necessities such as milk, eggs, etc... and you need to drive 20 minutes to do so. However, there are several souvenir shops and typical products such as sobaos, chorizo, salchichón, ... You can easily park next to the house, as Mari Carmen provides you with a card that allows you to leave your vehicle in the historic center. If we return to Bárcena Mayor, we will definitely stay at Mari Carmen's house. Thank you very much and a hug

Our stay was excellent. The house is just as described: very clean, comfortable and almost brand new. The spaces are well-kept and ideal for families. The kids loved the trampoline, they had a great time. Although it is a bit far from Torrelavega, the location is very quiet and the connection to the highway is perfect for getting around the area. It was a good starting point for getting to know Cantabria. Yohana was always attentive and very kind. We would definitely repeat. Highly recommend
