Great starting point to reach the remote hills of Freita, where you can enjoy long hikes, river baths or simply visit the geological and archaeological sites of Arouca Geopark. Located in a small rural village in the hills, nearby you can find a grocery store and good restaurant with local gastronomy. Porto city is just 50 min away by car.

Casa do Povo is part of a group of houses inserted in Quinta Barqueiros D'Ouro, located in Barqueiros, in the Douro Demarcated Region. Taking advantage of the privileged location and view, the guest is in permanent contact with the river and the vineyard. You'll love my place because it's quiet, has good access to rural areas with a pleasant view over chestnut groves and agricultural lands. We offer the rental of this old reserve of pines rehabilitated in charming little house for 4 people: room available upstairs with a double bed and sofa bed in the living room. Enjoy a space of serenity and vegetation in the heart of the hills of Beira Alta. Quinta dos Açores is far from the city and all amenities (5 minutes by car). The vehicle can be parked upstream of the entrance leading to the guest house.

In the same space, there´s a hot tub you can enjoy (private and not shared) and only available for the house guests (extra fee applies).
