Places to stay in Aberdare

Valentina’s place was perfect for walking in the national park and getting to lots of places around Aberdare. The place was very tidy and well laid out with all the amenities you need. Great communication from Valentina with useful info about the surrounding area and things to do. Overall a great accommodation.

Stargazers Cottage is in a peaceful location and had the weather been clear enough I’m sure the stars would have been amazing, very few lights to interfere with the view. Cottage was very clean and well presented. Our family had a great evening playing trivial pursuit. Recommend booking the Hall Inn pub as highly recommended but we stayed over Easter weekend and was fully booked. If you are looking for a nice walk look up the Horseshoe route.

Absolutely lovely cottage in a lovely location! It was exceptionally clean when we arrived. Kim gave us very clear instructions on how to find the cottage, along with lots of recommendations of things to do! The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you might need for cooking, the only thing we would change would be having salt and pepper shakers rather than sachets. We really enjoyed the different flavoured coffees! We really enjoyed the local area- the local pub is a 3 minute walk away, and we also visited the local shop. We walked along the canal from the village to Crickhowell, which was a very easy and beautiful route! If we had stayed longer we would have made use of the bike hire in the village. The only thing we would have added would have been some board games/card games for when the weather isn’t on side! We had a very comfortable stay and would definitely come again. Thank you, Kim.

We had the most wonderful weekend. The house is superb and Carwyn is the perfect Airbnb host. Always responsive and we had all the information we needed to make our stay perfect. We hope to stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend! 5 Stars.

Wow what a beautiful place so peaceful just what we wanted the hut was immaculate with everything we needed for our stay the milk , Welsh cakes and Prosecco are such a nice touch! Hot is really lovely and very clean and so nice to robes to use ! We can’t fault the place . Andy & Rosie are fantastic hosts they have the most beautiful home we were so sad 😞 to leave we also loved the cats 🐈‍⬛ thanks again we will definitely be coming back ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We cannot recommend this host and the beautiful residence enough. If you want to get away, relax with nature on the front door step but with modern facilities, then this is the place ! Gil, our host, is considerate, friendly and helpful but gave us all the privacy we wanted. Wi-fi worked wonderfully and a great hot tub and fire pit was used to the max. Gil made sure we had all the fire wood we needed. Some great places to visit including some independent shops and emporiums are about a 10 min drive away. Enjoy

We had a blissfully idillic stay at Kesri’s. The safari lodges are really well appointed and private. The private bathrooms were clean and luxurious. We had a fabulous meal on the dirty burger night, really relaxed ambiance and lovely to meet the owners and hear the story of the business. Really accessible to Hay on Wye with lots to do. We had a great stay, we will be back!

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the Stables, hosts Paul and Gill were very helpful and welcoming. Beautiful property in idyllic surroundings . The property was equipped with everything you needed and more to make our short break memorable. Lovely touches fresh flowers , home made Bara brith which was delicious and extras of bread ,milk, butter and fresh eggs from their chickens were a lovely surprise and really appreciated. Would highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning in the future.
