We had the most wonderful stay at the hut in the woods. It’s a beautiful, cosy, well made space. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is lovely with a powerful shower. It’s a lovely setting in the woods with a fire pit and stream at the bottom. I agree with other reviews that sleeping might be a push for 3 adults, but it worked very well for us with our 4 year old son. There is so much to do in the wider area, Dartmoor, bike rides, national trust, Bude, and loads we didn’t have time for. The owners have good local knowledge and made some great recommendations.

The barn was absolutely stunning. Situated on a peaceful farm just outside Oakhampton. I think the whole week we were there we heard maybe 2 cars! The beds were the best beds we've slept in away from home. The kitchen was lovely and large. Dinning table was perfect for dinner as well as board games. Sofas were comfy and TV had different streaming platforms. Bathroom is a good size, although shower slightly small. There's a lockable cupboard under the stairs to hide food from the dog which was perfect. Stairs a little creaky for light sleepers but we slept through it. Plenty of space to park the cars. Garden is gated and fenced but gates are low, my dog could jump them so he was on lead in the garden. Bedrooms had black out binds which was handy for the bright mornings. We absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back again! Short drive to Oakhampton high street with plenty of of shops. Also a few take aways that delivery. Overall amazing stay and highly recommend!
