Magnificent view over the ocean

Experience spectacular views from the Bird Box, located at the top of Ørnhaugen on Langøy. From here you can enjoy a fantastic view all the way to the North Sea, with sunset on the horizon over Algrøy. When it blows on the ocean, you can see white sea spraying up islets and cut all the west to Løno. If you arrive by kayak or boat, you can walk to the bird box from the spring. I absolutely loved this place – it was everything I hoped for and more. So cosy, private, and peaceful – a perfect little escape from the busy world. The cabin had such a warm and welcoming vibe, and the atmosphere made it feel like a true home away from home. It was stocked with firewood for the chimney, which added to the charm, especially on chilly evenings. The owners were lovely – they spoke excellent English and were incredibly helpful and friendly. When we needed a few basic things like milk and sugar, they went out of their way to help us out, which we really appreciated. Their hospitality made the stay even more special. The house itself was absolutely stunning – beautifully maintained and thoughtfully designed. It gave me that magical feeling of living in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by peace and nature, yet still feeling completely safe and cared for. If I could live in that home permanently, I honestly would – that’s how much I loved it.

Beautiful modern house with an amazing view. We were lucky to have some very good weather and so we made use of the outdoor area which was well equipped with furniture and barbecue equipment. The house was very comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Jarand’s cabin! The location is incredible and the cabin had stunning views. We enjoyed going for a hike in the area and going for a cool down in the stream. The cabin had everything we needed, including things to make coffee and easy meals. We were a bit worried about finding it, but Jarand gave helpful directions. If you follow Google maps to the coordinates, you’ll find where you should park easily and then have a short but steep hike up a clearly marked path. It was wonderful to disconnect for a few days and we have already recommended Jarand’s place to a few friends!
