Susquehanna River Retreat

Don’t hesitate to book!! We felt right at home for our 5 night stay at Josh’s place. The place was beautifully decorated, lots of quirky artwork & finishes, full of texture. There were plenty of linens and pillows - had a great smell when walking in. Josh was very responsive and friendly. We absolutely loved sitting on the front porch with views of the river & my kids enjoyed nightly walks to play in the river and at the playground across the street. Hands down a GEM of an airbnb in York county & we live locally! I never thought we could find a space so good so close to home!

This place is spectacular. It’s hard to imagine a more beautiful house in Pennsylvania. They are so many amenities you don’t want to even leave the home during your stay.

I fell in love with Pequea and back in love with nature during our all too brief time here. Wildflowers, of every spring shade growing every which way and in every direction. Trees greening. Expansive, breathtaking views of sunset and sunrise over the Susquehanna. Crystal clear streams flowing through plunging valleys, make a sharp turn on the curving roads through fertile farm country only to suddenly climb steep forested hills. With all roads eventually leading to Lancaster. Lots of fresh locally grown food. A stunning French pastry with offerings as exquisite as Cartier's. The Lancaster Farmers Market is a must. Or the nearby Pequea dairy for fresh yogurt. (I'm a retired chef.) And after all that? Climb into the hot tub and relax before falling into bed on a good mattress. ps Like everything about this place, the kitchen, the dining room, the windows, the decks, first floor shower......HUGE, clean, modern.
A charming log home features a spacious front porch adorned with blue and turquoise chairs. Two hanging flower pots are visible, adding a touch of greenery. The two-story structure is surrounded by lush trees, providing a serene backdrop.
