Château du Saulce

The Château du Saulce domain is a former Knights Templar commandery founded in 1216 and was taken over by the Order of Malta in the 14th century. The small castle in the Versailles style is from the 18th century and has been entirely renovated, keeping all the elements of the romanticism of its era. Located on the banks of the Yonne river, it is surrounded by a 3 hectare park with remarkable old trees and birds, ponds and a decorated trianon, as well as a modern swimming pool.

We offer a charming studio furnished in 2021, located in the city center. We have combined the charm of the old and the modern. Period tiles and beams, 2 smart TVs, steel staircase and reversible air conditioning. Complete equipment will allow you to feel at home with 2 adults in the bedroom with a queen size bed and possibly two other people on the sofa bed. In summer, access to the swimming pool of our guest house right next door. (accessible in summer from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.)

The castle is an authentic 17th century building, immersed in nature, hidden in a large park of 4 hectares. It offers visitors the authentic magic of a family home. It is equipped for groups of up to 21 people: the central part sleeps 15 people and the outbuilding sleeps 6 people. PLEASE NOTE! The following fees are not included in the rate and will be payable upon arrival: cleaning and linen 310 euros/outbuilding option 200 euros per stay.

A stay at an old castle farm: Burgundian, pleasant, comfortable, tasteful but without fuss or crowds. The 15th-century castle farm d'Arbonne has a guest/vacation home (gîte) within its walls that accommodates 6 people in summer, 4 in winter (the romantic tower room cannot be used in winter). The entrance to the courtyard is shared, but you have your own cottage, with a tower! There is only a wood stove that you have to maintain yourself.
