Absolutely delightful! Johan is a fantastic host. The accommodation is comfortable, the home cooked meals are scrumptious, and the decor is fabulously quirky. We will most certainly be back. The Purple House is unhesitatingly recommended.

What a beautiful place. Our dog had the best time, playing with Bruce’s dogs and running around on the farm. Lovely breakfast too. Would definitely come back.

I had a lovely stay at Rondefontein Guest House. The setting is peaceful and scenic perfect for a quiet getaway. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The hospitality was warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. What really stood out was the beautiful natural surroundings perfect for relaxing or taking a walk to unwind. It’s a great spot if you’re looking to disconnect from the noise and enjoy some tranquility. Thank you to the team for a restful and enjoyable stay. I’d definitely recommend Rondefontein to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat.

Absolutely stunning view! The house is definitely on a difficult road between Pillopolis and Gariepdam but worth the drive and privacy. It was very hot when we stayed but apparently that is not normal. Stephan and his wife made the best of it and even offered for us to braai. The home is a little outdated but clean. It is very spacious and can fit large families. Stephan sent clear instructions for us to get to the house because the address on Airbnb is incorrect. it is not near anything in town.

What a gem in the Eastern Free State. After a long drive from Potchestroom we were welcomed by our friendly hosts. We stayed in a charming, beautifully restored farmhouse dating back to 1880. The views from the house were incredible with the sun setting over the mountains. What a privilege to light a fire and enjoy a glass of wine in such a serene setting. We will certainly be back. The drive to the house already gets you excited, through towns we had never heard of, absolutely exquisite nature and then finally you get to the turn and you can just about see the house on the “hill”. Animals on your doorstep, the pool overlooking the animals, it was spectacular. The house itself was very well equipped with everything we needed. This is a place we would definitely return to, but next time not just as a stopover, we would stay. It is beyond peaceful. Talk about peaceful… you might need a few peaceful sleep bottles :D you are in the middle of nature, surrounded by nature. There were a lot of mosquitoes during the night and of course Hennie was right, do not leave any lights on… we left 1 kitchen light on, the next morning there were like a million bugs (moths) flying around that light, and it is not an exaggeration :D Again, this is part of the charm, it is part of nature and I wish we could stay a bit longer, but next time! Thanks Hennie :)

It was a wonderful stay, super nice really lovely with all the animals: kittens, dogs and sheep. The sunset was amazing and the view from the room, with the windows towards the sunset. The room is beautifully renovated, with great comforts, extra bedding and everything we needed.

This is a fantastic location, quiet and in the midst of nature. The rooms are spacious and clean. We opted for dinner and breakfast which was delicious! Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay at Goshen guest farm. The kids had so much fun kayaking and fishing and it was lovely to be off the beaten track. Beautiful stars and night and a comfy bed with all the amenities we needed. Alex was a superb host!

Perfect😊👌 We were really fortunate to find this farm on Airbnb. Tina and Janka were truly phenomenal hosts; we arrived late and I hadn’t downloaded a location, they went out to look for us! We were really blessed to stay with such wonderful people and the outside unit had everything we needed.

Anja, Braam's wife, was very warm and welcoming. She helped us manage the dogs well so there was no anxiety about that! She even brought us booking water for coffee this morning when there was load shedding! Braam shared a G. Maps Pin location which made directions and communication very easy. Peaceful place in a beautiful setting. Baie dankie, ons sal terug wees!

Karien war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Unterkunft gab es alles, was man für einen Kurzurlaub braucht. Das auf Wunsch servierte Frühstück ist zu empfehlen.
