COTTAGE NEAR THE WATER

You will find the cottage on a little island called De Woude. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and fishermen but if you want visit Alkmaar, Zaanse schans, Amsterdam ore you want to go to the beach you will be there in ca. 35 minutes by car. With a ferry you get to the island. The ferry goes back and forth all day until 23:00. Cars are allowed. their is a private parking place near the cottage.

We were absolutely delighted with our vacation home! Upon arrival, we were warmly and personally greeted by the owners. The apartment was tidy and clean, just as described in the photos. We felt very comfortable right from the beginning. The amenities and details all matched the description exactly. We highly recommend this vacation home and would be happy to come back. Martin always responded very quickly – it was a wonderful stay. The room was spotlessly clean, and he even left us some food. It has air conditioning and a private bathroom. The room never feels stuffy, and there’s also an air purifier. In terms of location, it’s about 20 minutes to the city center by bus

The place is great, but teddy is an absolute gem. I was sick the night I came in with a bad fever. I was actually trying to cancel my reservation. But I couldn’t. I spoke with Teddy, he said he would take care of me and he did. He served me a big plate of fruits, gave me medicine, and was just so sweet. Honestly can’t say enough good stuff about the guy.

Was great! We cycled here from Windsor UK for a charity event, was exactly what we needed, peaceful & cosy. Nice & clean lovely little village. Our phones died before we got to our destination but the friendly neighbour helped us out straight away & gave me & my friend each a beer! Great guy

I had a wonderful stay! Elton was very friendly and welcoming, making the experience smooth from start to finish. The place itself was lovely—clean, cozy, and well-kept. It was also very quiet, which made for a relaxing atmosphere. The view was absolutely stunning and definitely a highlight. Highly recommend!

Linda was a very kind host who always responded quickly to messages! It was noticed that she put a lot of effort into furnishing the apartment. The apartment is very quaint and cozy. You could not live more centrally in Alkmaar: shops, restaurants, etc. can be reached in less than 2 minutes. Unfortunately, the church tower clock strikes every quarter of an hour at night, which was a little difficult at night. Linda provided us with earplugs for this. But the beds were very cozy!

We stayed here for two nights. The tiny house is located at the far end of a very long garden. During the stay, we enjoyed the privacy very much. Sylvia and Mick regularly asked if everything was okay and even gave us homemade jam and eggs from their own chickens as a welcome gift. Communication, kindness and flexibility were great. 10/10.

Double doors with glass panes lead to a spacious, open living area. The room is filled with natural light and features contemporary furnishings, including a comfortable seating arrangement and a flat-screen television, complemented by a soft area rug.
