House vacation rentals in Wistow

This was our second time at Phils, first time to celebrate my 70th second time for my husbands 75th. When I asked my family where they wanted to celebrate my husbands 75th birthday it was Phils place. Its perfect for our multi-generational family, amples of space and the pool and hot tub are the icing on the cake. We all had the best time and we made lots of memories. Thank you Phil for the use of your lovely home.

Lovely cosy house which was clean and tidy. This was our second stay at Homestead and we will be coming back.

Wow what an amazing property, just wish I could have stayed longer. Home from home with more. Comfortable bed/s great quality including bedding and towels of luxury quality. Thoughtful touches on arrival. Local amenities, plenty of restaurants/pubs walking distance. Beautiful local reservoir walks, plenty to do and see. Spa was an amazing added bonus to enjoy your stay with full relaxation under the stars and after a long walk. Will definitely stay again and have recommended to my family and friends already. One of those weekend breaks that you don't want to end. Thanks for everything.

Lovely stay over the New Year period. Great location with just a short walk into Pocklingto where there are lots of places to eat and drink. Would recommend.

The property and the location was absolutely amazing , me and my friends have made some amazing memories there. The property felt luxurious and there were soo many personalised gifts for us upon arrival which were much appreciated. the host was very responsive whenever we had any questions I would absolutely recommend to anyone who wants a country escape and I know I want to go back in the future.

Lovely stay, the farm was beautiful and the animal feeding was the highlight of our childrens’ stay. Pool was great, super clean everywhere, and they provided maps of local walks which we utilised too. Couldn’t have asked for much more.

Myself, 9 others and 1 small dog booked on of Sue's fantastic cottages for a reunion weekend. Sue was very easy to communicate with, gave us the guidebook ahead of time virtually for any queries (we were very interested in the pizza oven and games room) Facilties were excellent, we were lucky that no other cottages on the site (only 3 others) were in use during our stay, so had free roam of the site and facilties. The local recommendations were brilliant. We went to the old black bull down the road for dinner on the first night and then again for roast dinner on Sunday - mega The house itself is just as shown in the photos, more than comfortable to sleep and house 10 of us for the weekend. Special mention to the hottub, (which is private for your house and I believe comes with all houses) and to Paul who was more than helpful coming to our rescue and reviving out pizza night when we experienced some issues with the oven. 10/10 would go again.

Wonderful property, recently renovated to a very high standard. Views were exceptional, fixtures and fittings were very good quality. Host was easy to contact and very friendly. Local pub is a ten minute walk and serves good food.

Lovely lication in beautiful village, excellent tea room a short stroll away,perfect for a couple.

We had a lovely stay at Mike's place. The house is in a great location on a quiet street with a nice walk into the city centre. The house was as desribed and very clean. Mike was a great host, providing lots of recommendations of things to do in the local area and very responsive to questions. I would definitely recommend it for a weekend trip to York.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely, spacious home! The house was perfect for our group—it was clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing weekend. One of the biggest highlights was the location—just a short drive and walk to the wedding we were attending, which made everything so convenient. It was great to be able to get ready together in such a nice space and come back to unwind after the celebration. The host was friendly and responsive, and check-in was smooth and easy. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone attending events in the area or just looking for a peaceful getaway in a beautiful home.

Absolutely gorgeous place in a great small town. Easy to find, everything you could need supplied, and more! Thoughtful treats left for us and the dog. Very dog friendly. We had a very comfortable stay and if around that way, would definitely stay again.

It is difficult to express how great the house and area was. Gaynor made us feel welcome and almost valued friends even though we actually only met her face to face on our last morning. Everything in the house worked and was geared to making our stay at the house enjoyable. The information about the city and places to visit was very comprehensive and useful to us as first time visitors to York. Thanks so much Gaynor.

This was our second stay at the Coach House, and we couldn't have been made to feel more welcome by Dale. York gave us more pleasant surprises this time and the discovery of the riverside walkways was a highlight. The local eats on the Bishy Road were again a delight.

A beautiful home to stay in, so quaint and welcoming. It was well equipped, beautifully furnished and comfortable beds. The location was also perfect - easily walkable into the centre of York, but also situated in a quiet part of the city in a leafy green area. We also appreciated you accommodating our request to drop off our luggage a couple of hours early. Many thanks and wouldn't hesitate to book again when next visiting, best wishes.

Lovely place and perfect location 7 to 10min walk to the town centre with different cafes and retail shops. The house is so pretty the interior design is amazing each room is gorgeous and very spacious even the bathrooms are so pretty and well decorated. The other facilities such as sauna and jacuzzi were clean and really nice. This trip was very nice and relaxing, we had a great time as a family celebrating Eid together. Thanks to the host who was always quick to respond to any questions we had.

A lovely cottage in a lovely town. Super comfortable beds and a great shower. Well equipped kitchen and the garden overlooking the river was a delight….very friendly neighbours, too! We would definitely stay again. Ten out of ten.

Perfect home for a big family get together of all ages. Plenty of space, uncluttered and large kitchen with separate utility. Hot tub was clean and the standout feature. Easy access for York and friendly local pub.

I would highly recommend Alison's place. She was extremely helpful and responsive which made everything feel so easy and comfortable. It sometimes feels hard to feel at home but as soon as we walked in we were instantly drawn in and felt a home from home sense. A truly beautiful spacious place with everything you need also a private spacious place to park your car with easy access into York via taxis. Thank you Alison and we most definitely be staying again if we're in this area!!

Lovely Little House. Just right for a base between York and Hull. Having air conditioning was fantastic on the hottest weekend of the year. Thank you, Catherine for the welcome pack, much appreciated. Enjoyed our weekend especially know what a great place we'd be returning to after a hot busy day in York. Gilbertson cottage was the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The house was immaculate and just completely breath taking. We came on a Hen do & just could not get over how unreal every single aspect of the house was. It made our whole weekend. It was everything and more that we could have asked for & I couldn’t be more grateful. We’ve already spoke about a few of us coming back with our partners and children! What a beautiful place. What an amazing place to stay. Cannot speak highly enough of the entire experience. Beautiful home, and a lovely peaceful location, but not too far from main roads for day trips out. Lovely country lanes to walk the dog and not too far to get a park and ride into York for the day. The accommodation was spotless, and so beautiful, and had all the amenities you needed. We loved sitting on the sofa, watching out over the wildlife in the field. We wished we had booked to stay for longer as soon as we walked in! Great communication with the hosts. We really can’t wait to come back. Can’t recommend this stay enough! Thank you!!
