Staying in this little valley cabin was an amazing experience. It was private (except for a few visits from dogs) and beautiful. The cabin had everything you could imagine needing including a white noise machine, eye mask, robes, shower shoes and so many kitchen gadgets. Suzette came and said hello and introduced us to her pets then we settled in for a secluded stay. The fishing was also great - my husband caught a 13 inch trout which was enough to make him smile all day, and my heart was warmed watching my senior dog and her new preppy friend explore the valley. So great!

This is a great spot located between Winona and La Crosse with so many things to do! The Airbnb is located right next to railroad tracks but the host does provide earplugs to help with the noise. The directions were very clear to get to the home. The home was very clean and aesthetic! The host provided many board games and the house had lots to do for a quiet night in. Definitely would come back!

A Heartfelt and Healing Getaway This home truly has everything you need for a perfect stay—but what made it unforgettable was how it made us feel. As a single mom of teenage boys, life can be a lot. This peaceful retreat gave us the space to reconnect, breathe, and just be. We spent time down at the river, laughed together, and watched my sons play like they were little again—it brought tears to my eyes. The home is spacious, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, with everything you could possibly need. The soaking tub was a dream, and the whole place felt like a warm hug. The host was unbelievably kind, helpful, and generous—going above and beyond in every way. This stay brought healing, joy, and peace back into our hearts, and I’ll be forever grateful. If you’re looking for more than just a place to stay, this is it. We can’t wait to return.

This was my second stay the Driftless River House and it was just as lovely as the first! I could go on and on about the peaceful surroundings, the clean and modernized home, the excellent hosts, but I'll keep it short and say... Whether you're a solo traveler looking for respite or inspiration, a couple looking to get away and get connected, or a group of friends wanting to relax this is the place for you! The house was exactly as pictured, beautiful and peaceful surroundings, and lots to do. They went above and beyond supplying face masks and earplugs for comfortable sleeping, extra toothbrushes in case you forgot them, and anything you could possibly need as far as seasonings for cooking, pots and pans, and kitchen supplies.

Logan’s cottage was a sweet place off the beaten path. Very kind and forgiving hosts!! Accommodating as can be. Thank you!!

My brother, sister and I had a amazing Awesome time. Dome is very cool and the scenery was awesome. Wished we could’ve stayed longer. Wish we could’ve did more stargazing, but the moon was very bright and beautiful. The sunrise was awesome. Also, hope to return soon. Lisa

We stayed here 5 nights. This nicely remodeled, well-equipped and provisioned, super comfy home is in a quiet neighborhood, within easy walking distance of several restaurants and super convenient to scenic Route 35. It's 10 minutes to Winona. From the kitchen window, you can look down the street and see the Mississippi River. The couple of times I messaged the hosts, they replied within seconds. The water pressure was great, there was plenty of hot water, and every outlet and light we used worked as did the appliances and Wi-Fi. We didn't bring our dogs on this trip, but dogs are clearly welcome (e.g., treats, dishes). We would happily return, including for a longer stay. Be aware that the bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are steep (the price of high ceilings!). We opted to leave our bags in the large laundry room and just take upstairs the few things we needed. At present, the garage is unavailable; we parked in the drive, which put us a couple of steps from the entrance.

Very much enjoyed our stay and hope to return in the future. It was clean, comfortable, and fully met our needs. Quiet neighborhood and a great back yard.

Was a lovely stay. Would definitely stay again. Very cozy quiet and close to everything I needed. 5 star stay. The bed was worth the whole stay.

We felt right at home as soon as we walked in the door. It was exactly as pictured and even more comfortable. We will definitely stay again. We all appreciated the treats, sheets and towels making our dog feel comfortable, too!

Staying at the A.C. Carter home was a wonderful experience. The home's historic documents, collection of period furnishings, pet friendly, various amenities, including a karaoke machine, was fantastic; I'm sure my wife has heard my renditions of Born to Be Wild and I walk the Line enough to last a few weeks... or at least until I get my own karaoke machine too "polish" things up a bit ;) Our host, Signe, provided a lot of recommendations for local activates, attractions, and places to eat. While we had no need to contact our host, everything we used or needed had clear instructions handy; I'm sure any needs we may have had would have been handled promptly. What a special home and comfortable environment! Our family stayed in the home during a medical procedure at Mayo. We could not have found a better host to help us navigate and care through our recovery process. This is a well accommodated home, peaceful and part of nature. We appreciate all of the flexibility and lovely environment.

The house was spacious. There were plenty of towels. The location was great. Pretty much a 10 minute drive to restaurants, shopping. The neighborhood is walkable.

Great visit to a great little City. Pool was open and clean - which the kids loved. Felt nice and clean and newly remodeled.

Great place! Great views and very comfortable for our group of 8. Provided room to be together and space apart for individual quiet time if desired. Well appointed and well taken care of. Beau was very responsive, accommodating, and super friendly! This is our new go-to spot when visiting LC. Definitely recommend!

Good spot! Nice distance from town and enjoyed the wildlife. Only feedback would be to have a few fire logs available for a fire, would have saved me a trip. Thanks!

Great place and beautiful view of the lake!

Mindy was great from the start of the Airbnb and to the end! She was very responsive when we asked for local pizza recommendations in town and confirmed our questions without hesitation even when she was trying to enjoy her own Vacation! She was so nice and her home is amazing! Enjoyed the hot tub and how spacious her whole hole layout was. Would love to stay again here with my girlfriends.
