Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Winnebago County

This was my second time at the Traveler’s Sanctuary, it is true to its name. It is so relaxing and peaceful here. I’m sensitive to fragrance & it was such a relief to be able to have bed and bath linens without fragrance. The bed is so comfortable- it’s a dream! I’m very grateful when I’m able to stay here while visiting family.

I’m Glad I found their house. It was well furnished, peaceful, and I love the glass walls. Perfect place for a family of 6.

Hallie's property was as listed. We were in town for a softball tournament and the home was perfect for what we needed. The bathroom is very small, but gets the job done and was clean.

The house was so comfortable and homey. We felt right at ease being there. The neighborhood is beautiful and super quiet. The kitchen was huge and the furniture is upgraded from what is shown in the pictures. Will definitely stay there again.

OMG. We're traveling from the extreme West coast to the extreme East coast and are staying in Airbnb's. Its been kind of a learning experience. We are traveling with dogs who need a fenced yard and two pickup trucks towing grossly overweight (haha) U-Haul trailers. We've struggled through steep driveways, narrow driveways, busy streets -- this made backing out a major grade 10 challenge. There were comical deeply grooved one-lane cowpaths that threatened to bottom us out. Then, common necessities like a Kleenex or plastic wrap were absent -- just annoyingly inconvenient after spending 12 hours on the road. Ok, at the end of the day, they all had a comfy bed and that made it good. I checked with Anthony on the fenced yard and the parking situation first -- he was incredibly responsive and we booked last-minute the morning of. The home was fantastic. Nothing was missing and we wanted for nothing. There was street parking so we just simply pulled in and out. Nothing but praise !!

We were in town for a funeral. Susan’s place was spotless and very comfortable. Convenient to everything. Thank you 😊

The space was amazing and so interesting. Every piece felt so intentional and special, it was like living in someone's creative journey which was such a thrilling and unique experience. The building itself was a fun space with different rooms to explore, and it was just a perfect place to decompress. Walkability was fantastic; easily five minutes away from the Saturday nightlife, but when you got back home, you could close off the city noise. 10/10 would come back - thanks!

This was my second stay at Brittany's place and it was great again. No issues, and Brittany is great. highly recommend and will stay here again in the future when I am back in the Rockford area.

I'm originally from Rockford and visit at least once per year. I am rarely inspired to leave reviews. Karolina's place was EXACTLY as pictured and described. This is a nice sized 2 br, 1 ba apartment in a 4-plex. You park directly in front of the unit, making it easy to bring in your suitcases. Karolina provides clear instructions on how to access the unit, which is bright, sunny, cheerful and SPOTLESS. The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked with everything you could need (except food, lol), all of higher quality. The bed linens, and the manner in which the beds were made, were impressive. Definitely giving 5-star hotel vibes. Overall, of all the AirBnbs I've stayed in, this was the most comfortable. By that, I don't mean the beds, etc. I mean emotionally & psychologically comfortable, which is probably more important than anything else. Karolina clearly understands the meaning of hospitality. It is evident a lot of thought and planning went into her Modern Haven.

Newly remodeled and very clean. Nezmed was very responsive, helpful, friendly and flexible. GREAT place and I highly recommend!

We moved out of state 5 years ago and this is our first time back to Rockford together. Bonnie’s place made us feel so at home. It is truly a gem! Not to mention It’s A Wing Thing is close by & Sams Restaurant delivered to the area!! The Airbnb is just as described, the bed was comfortable, decor was beautiful, and the space was more than enough!! Bonnie was very responsive and helpful! We’ll definitely be staying at her place when we’re back in town!!

Stayed for a night while visiting Roscoe for weekend family activities. Easy to find, great location next to south beloit park and a great price! Tracey was super nice and showed us around when we got there. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Host! Instructions sent before hand were very helpful. The building is older giving it an old charm. The apartment was updated and cute. I would stay here again.

I loved the comfortable bed and all the amenities of the kitchen. I wanted to bake and needed a home that had an oven, price very reasonable as close to what I would have paid for hotel but with more space. Realized after I started cooking that the previous occupant had taken pots and pans. Host had new ones purchased and brought over quickly so I didn’t have to leave to get some. Very responsive and checked in with me daily. I will try to use again as I travel to this area monthly for work and it met all of my needs.

We have stayed there twice and plan to come back. Great space for our family weekend trips.

This location was exactly what we expected!! The pictures are very accurate. The duplex was beautifully decorated. The beds were comfortable and so were the couches. We would have loved to have stayed longer, but our insurance adjuster did not file for our extension in time. We would definitely recommend 😊

Dianna was so sweet and responsive. The Airbnb was clean and welcoming. It was the perfect location to be far enough out of the city to be quiet and private, but close enough for anything you want or need!
