Charming blacksmith barn in Welsh border village

LizzieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The Fforge is the most beautiful barn conversion we’ve ever stayed in! It is such a relaxing, cosy and calming place to be. The interior design is perfect. The shower is amazing. So nice to use the log burner on a rainy/cold evening! The hill right behind has 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside. We also walked to the tennis court in the village and played there one morning. We went to the Hay festival in Hay on Wye which is nearby and one of the great towns to visit in the area. Would love to come back one day! Thanks so much

Cosy shepherd’s hut on the Offa’s Dyke Path

RebeccaRating, 5 stars4 days ago
We had a wonderful 2 night stay and just wished it could have been longer! The shepherds hut was really lovely with everything you needed for your stay(shower was better than I had at home!) and the setting in it's own cottage style garden, beside a babbling brook was idyllic! So peaceful and right on the Offa Dyke walking trail, which we did a part off from the hut, which very quickly gave us fabulous views across the area. Our host was great-welcoming us in on arrival and was on hand across the road if needed. Would definitely recommend staying here,we loved it!

Historic Summerhouse on Private Country Estate

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
Absolutely amazing stay over at the Summer House. Exploring the walled gardens and a little breakfast in the morning was an absolute delight. We had the gift of good weather and so spent most of our time outside which was an absolute treat. Couldn't ask for more, amazing place to stay.

Do not hesitate to book this place if you’re staying in Hay. Beautiful little cottage, great location close to the river walk and the village, not far from the bus stop. Two bedrooms upstairs with comfy beds, great shower/tub, wood-burning stove downstairs, well appointed kitchen with everything you need, lovely garden out back with chairs to sit in the sun and listen to the birds. Would definitely stay here again.

Millbrook House

RachelRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This property is just fantastic. I can honestly say the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in. Location was tranquil and peaceful. House is spotless, every room was extremely clean. Great powerful shower. The property is a good size. We were only 3 people and was very spacious for us. Has its own private parking. Kitchen was lovely, and a great little garden, with beautiful views. We felt relaxed and chilled here. There is not a lot in the little village, there is a pub, but we knew that when booking and that's what sold it for us. We don't like busy towns, we wanted quiet. It is a great base to get about though. Not far from Hereford, and right on the Welsh border. Just down the road is Arthur's Stone which was really interesting to visit. We drove into Hay-on-Wye one evening, its about 15 mins down the road, lots of restaurants and fish shop. The Brecon Beacons were only an hour away. We also visited Puzzlewood, which is in the Forest of Dean, about an hour in the other direction.

A beautiful little haven - we had a lovely stay at Alison’s place. Felt at home from the moment we arrived. So quiet and peaceful yet just a short walk to some of Hays best pubs and restaurants - just perfect. Loved watching and listening to the birds in the garden too. Thanks Alison for sharing your beautiful home - we hope to stay again sometime.
