Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Winchcombe

My girlfriend and I had a fantastic weekend stay at Ally’s place. The house is beautifully designed, spotless, and very well maintained. The furniture is brand-new and high-quality, and the space is filled with artistic touches and charming decorations. Ally and Simon were wonderful hosts—warm, responsive, and happy to help with anything we needed. The neighborhood is peaceful and scenic, which made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. One of my favorite spots was a cozy music corner in the living room, equipped with a piano, guitar, and a great selection of sheet music—ideal for music lovers. We truly enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer!

Simply perfect! The hamlet is a haven of unparalleled tranquility. In Lantern Cottage itself we marvelled at the tasteful design and a ceaseless feast of wonderful quirkiness. The beautifully tended garden is a delightful place to find solitude. One of the highlights of our many travels this idyllic cottage is a definite revisit.

We had a charming stay at the cottage in Bourton-on-the-Water. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by its cozy charm and picturesque surroundings. The cottage was beautifully maintained, blending rustic character with modern comforts. The location was perfect, just a short stroll from quaint shops, tea rooms, and the iconic river running through the town. It truly felt like a home away from home. We can’t wait to return!

Tom was an amazing host, the accommodation exceeded our expectations and was a truly relaxing and peaceful retreat. The accommodation is very spacious, with a well equipped kitchen and is extremely cosy. We will be back!

Modern apartment 10 minute walk from shops and restaurants. Street parking wasn’t a challenge. Communication with host was ok. We had a problem with the shower drain, and they fixed it within a few hours. Everything works properly. Bed was comfortable, but as with all airbnbs in UK/Europe, a bit small by US standards. The bathroom was cramped, and the shower was tiny. Seniors might find the shower a challenge. The stairs to the bedroom were narrow. Not difficult for climbing alone, but a bit of a challenge with luggage. In June with temps of about 18 degrees Celsius, the bedroom was comfortable despite lacking air conditioning, but I’m not sure how it would be in the heat, if it ever did get hot in the UK! In short, the place might pose challenges for seniors but is a good option for others.

We loved our stay in the barn. It was in a great location, only a short drive away from the main Cotswold towns. The barn was spotless, and very peaceful. We loved the private garden. Would recommend staying here to anyone who wants a quiet country getaway.

We loved our stay at The Old Post Office. Elizabeth was a great host and made us feel welcome and right at home. The location in Broadway can’t be beat and we would recommend Elizabeth’s home to anyone wanting a great base to explore the Cotswolds.

Lovely stay at this Airbnb, would recommend. Used as a base to visit friends. Peaceful neighbourhood and walkable to things of interest. Bed very comfy and Julian was a great host!

Had a great stay, the dogs loved the large enclosed garden to run around in. Would stay again.

Maureen was the perfect host. She met us on arrival and gave us all the info we needed. She was close by if required but not intrusive. The annexe was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The location is ideal for exploring The Cotswolds and Moreton in Marsh has all the shops, pubs, coffee shops and restaurants anyone could need, all in walking distance. We would happily recommend this accommodation.

Stayed at this roomy flat for two nights with friends. It is the basement of what would have once been a large Georgian house (though still quite bright) and still has many period features like the flagstone floors. It is also extremely spacious, loads of room for us three and would also be great for a family stay. The location is great, very peaceful and only ten minutes to the edges of the town centre. It is worth walking a little further into the Montpellier district for a great range of independent shops and cafes (as well as the big chains in the centre). Thoroughly recommend it for a weekend away.

the house and garden made an ideal location for a family celebration. made for a fabulous time. loved the coffee machine and arga and bbq. great space, very homely.

Lovely stay. House was spotless and very spacious. The estate has great facilities (pool, spa, tennis courts, etc) and we loved having access to the lake for paddle boarding. Would recommend the private chef from Ballihoo on the estate. Alasdair was a very helpful and responsive host.

We had a lovely time at calm waters, the house is beautiful… the pictures don’t do it justice! The best thing about the house was the rooftop that gave us somewhere to sit in the sun all day, whereas other houses in the lake only benefited from morning or afternoon sun. Very enjoyable stay. Jan and team were very responsive throughout our stay. The villa was fantastic, beautiful rooms, spacious and lovely view over the lake. Would definitely consider coming again in the future, and the family all loved the place!

This property is amazing for all ages - we celebrated a birthday here and had the best time. The property is large enough that everyone has their own space but cosy enough that you still feel “together”. The location is beautiful and we made use of the pool and the lake. Lots of stubbing places to see locally and plenty of great restaurants. Recommend!!

Oldbury Barn is in a lovely location in the countryside with great views (though tricky to find, so the 'what3words' helped a lot!). The house was nicely presented and lovely and clean. Plenty of pots, pans, mugs (!) utensils etc for a large family group. The open plan nature of the kitchen/diner/lounge is great for a multi generational family gathering like ours, as you are always all together in one huge room. However, note that its a tiled floor and there isn't much in the way of soft furnishings so noise echoes around a bit and can be heard from all bedrooms - but this is only a problem if you have very young kids going to bed early or getting up early! The 2 ground floor bedrooms are large and with lots of storage. The 2 upstairs bedrooms are small with very low ceilings and little storage - fine for kids but we were were 7 adults and one toddler, so that didnt work brilliantly for us . The "slight height restriction" in the description is quite an understatement!!

A beautiful bright spacious modern house with wonderful views across the lake. It is just like the pictures or even better. The lounge and bedrooms are so comfortable and the kitchen is wonderfully equipped with everything you need. Communication was excellent. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful time at this house on the Lower Mill Estate. Everything was as described. It was a very well-equipped house with everything we needed for our stay with our 10 month old. Our host was very responsive when we had an issue with the hot tub and got it sorted ASAP. We would recommend this place to anyone and would definitely come back again.
