Everything you see is handcrafted by myself, wife and our two kids. You won't find anything with more character than the Cave and its surroundings. Nestled at the end of a slough on Smith Lake, its seclusion adds to the appeal. Explore the waterfalls, the lake, and the cave and its unique features. Retire to the rustic cabin with beautiful lake views, indoor fireplace, and natural accents. Note that there is a set of steps (~25) to get to the cave. Ask us about options to accommodate more guests than the 4 listed. Bookings offered only 3 months in advance

Madison home without Madison congestion, just a hop from Huntsville. Under 10 minutes to BridgeStreet, Research Park, Town Madison (Trash Pandas), Space&Rocket Center, Mid City (Orion Amphitheater), HSV Airport and more. 2 beds, 2 baths and a couch offer space for up to 4 guests. We cannot accomodate early check-in or late check-out. Please know check-in starts at 3p, check-out is a firm 10a, no exceptions. Up to 4 guests allowed, no more. Book for the appropriate # of guests in your party.

Magical Mountain Retreat with Vintage Charm

Our second home is a mix of mid-century modern and "cabin in the woods." It sits on 2 heavily wooded acres and backs up to a mountainside with rock outcroppings. The main living area (living room, dining area, and kitchen) is raised about 4 steps, and the bedroom and bath areas are on the main level. There is one large bathroom with a shower. There is an electric fireplace surrounded by ledge stone in front of the u-shaped built-in sofa. There is abundant reading material & 2 TV's.

Join us on the Mount View Hurricane Valley farm, where we grow veggies, play with the dogs and cats, feed the chickens, and sing with the turkeys. This studio apartment is full of life inside and out. The grand piano is there just for all the practice you want to do. Then, stroll up the hillside and take in the view. Light a fire in the fire pit, star-gaze, enjoy the hot tub, and just relax. A Pack-n-Play and a bassinette are available on request.

CHECK IN DAYS MWF Our very unique treehouse is nestled into the treetops on 40 acres of forest. Great for a couples retreat, honeymoon, or spiritual reconnecting. Get away from it all and enjoy the nature trails and 2 acre lake(seasonal at times)to pass the time and be able to really unwind. You won’t forget your time in our cozy cabin on Lewis Smith Lake in Alabama. It’s on a quiet cove with year round water with a private boat dock, swim pier, back porch, and fire pit outside! After a day on the water, make sure to relax on the back porch and watch the sunset. Smith Lake is a beautiful place to get away. Our Slice of Smith cabin boasts great views on a quiet area of the lake. No matter what season, you won’t want to leave!
