Vacation rentals with breakfast in Whanganui River

This is such a lovely home to stay in. Beautifully furnished and feels so private with the outside deck and secure fencing. The fridge and pantry were well stocked. It was a shame we didn't stay longer to really enjoy the cottage. Lynette is a lovely friendly host. Thank you!

Loved the house and location... views spectacular. great place for a large group... there were twelve of us and did not feel crowded. close to town and the markets. Better than we expected. Will recommend it to friends and family traveling to Whanganui.

“A Perfect Stay with Stunning Views!” I had an amazing stay at this AirBnB! The location was perfect—peaceful, yet close to everything I needed. One of the highlights was the beautiful walk nearby, which offered breathtaking views that made every morning feel magical. Whether enjoying a cup of coffee outside or taking in the scenery during a stroll, the surroundings were absolutely stunning. The home itself was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped, making my stay truly enjoyable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing and scenic getaway!

The booking was accurate and not fussy in that you felt at home. Sharon was very proactive as soon as i made the booking and accomodating when i needed extra request because i had an event on. Thanks ill definitely be back!

It was an absolute pleasure to stay at Honor’s place — we were so lucky to find it and it answered everything that we needed. The house was immaculate and beautiful settled in a wonderful garden and less than a minute to the river and we couldn’t have had a nicer time with the perfect hosts.

This was my second stay at Ohm home, the first time being 5 years ago when I stayed here for 7 days on my own. This time was with my partner and since staying here the first time I’ve always raved about this stay and looked fondly back at the photos I’d taken. As great as the place looks from photos, nothing is as incredible and picturesque as actually being there and wow did it still amaze me being back again. The home itself is amazing, spotlessly clean with all the amenities and some very nice extra touches to make the stay that much nicer. The views and environment there are truly special and unique and I’ve not found any other place to be able to so easily feel at peace and truly switch off and relax. We will definitely be staying here again and I don’t think there will ever be another stay and experience even close to Ohm home. Thank you so much Raquel and Eduard for providing such a special place!

très bon séjour même pour une nuitée. la maison est très très bien équipée et tout a été pensé pour que l'on ne manque de rien, tant dans la cuisine que dans les salles de bains ou les chambres très confortable , calme mignon et joliment décoré c'est le logement le mieux équipé de notre séjour ! Merci beaucoup allez y les yeux fermés !

It was such a pleasure to spend time with Jac and his family and also all the animal. That stay was definitely the best experience of our Trip. We would have liked to stay for longer, but we would love to come back next time we travel through New Zealand. Thank you so much for welcoming us that warmly. We enjoyed to feed and pet the animals and next time we’ll be more prepared for another round of table tennis :)

Beautiful place, the owner baked us a fresh loaf which was amazing. Really appreciate how friendly the owner was, left us to our own devices after a nice hello. The sculpture garden was absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views of the lake. Perfect in the evening to cozy up and watch something on the smart TV with some Air-Con too. We’ll be back as soon as we can!

Wonderful warm welcome, lovely place, and perfect with 2 bedrooms and 2 ensuites

The beautiful historic Fire Station has been transformed into a posh home decor store on the ground level and some very nice apartments on the first floor. Beautifully finished hardwood floors, large rooms and high ceilings give a sense of grandeur to the place. We enjoyed the comfortable leather couches and chairs in the living room. When we needed a bigger pot for cooking and some extra hangers for clothes, the host, though out of town that weekend, responded immediately and had the maid bring them over. The apartment is very walkable to all the attractions downtown and, if you have a car, there is a secure parking place in the courtyard. There can be a bit of road noise outside the bedrooms, but not so much that earplugs can’t handle. We would recommend staying at this beautiful apartment if you want a convenient place to stay in Whanganui.

I stayed at the Gumnut B&B for just two nights on a road trip through Whanganui. The guest space is large enough to be an apartment because there is a lounge and dining room as well as a bedroom and dedicated bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and generous. I spent my first afternoon on the porch enjoying the cool breeze and pleasant weather with views of the garden. The neighborhood is quiet at night and felt safe. I walked into downtown to explore Whanganui. Maryann and Barry were friendly hosts and Maryann stopped to chat with me when she had time. I recommend staying at the Gumnut B&B and I would gladly stay again.

Barb and Mike are amazing hosts and we had a lovely and comfortable stay at Tongariro Adventures. The national park is only a short drive away. The waterfront is a few steps away and there are amazing trails around the area. Barb and Mike’s place exceeded our expectations and their hospitality made us feel very welcome. Also, top marks for the amazing breakfast!!

Perfect stay in impeccable accomodation, Tony was very welcoming and his house is perfect and functional with good facilities. Tony offered us an amazing breakfast and prepared scrambled eggs for us, thank you again for this welcome. I recommend Tony's accomodation.

Martin n'a pas pu nous accueillir lui-même, mais il nous a laissé des instructions très claires et nous a fait confiance. Nous avons pu choisir notre chambre, celle - ci était spacieuse avec un accès sur une très belle terrasse. Le coffre au pied du lit et les lampes de chevet sont du plus bel effet. Enfin, le libre accès à la cuisine est vraiment appréciable. Nous recommandons ce B&B.

I stayed here with a friend before completing the Tongariro Crossing and it was a wonderful experience. I would recommend to anyone; it was comfortable and clean and our every need was met. (Even making our sandwiches ready for the crossing the next day!). The breakfast was delicious and Mary was a friendly and helpful host. Can’t wait to stay again, thank you!
