House vacation rentals in West Tamar Council

We had the most beautiful 2-night stay at Chateau Clarence Point with our family from April 17th to 19th. The home was even better than the pictures—so spacious, clean, and filled with thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. Our little ones loved the playroom and all the space to run around, while the adults enjoyed the peaceful views of the Tamar River and cosy evenings by the fire pit. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook up some lovely family meals, and the whole house just had such a calm, welcoming feel to it. The hosts made sure everything was perfect for our stay. It was the perfect way to start our Tasmania trip—relaxing, comfortable, and full of lovely memories. Highly recommend this gem to anyone travelling with family or friends!

We as an extended family make this a regular family getaway. We have always had such a great time and thoroughly enjoy all the activities on offer. Some fierce 8 ball is played. Cricket and football in the huge yard. A spot of fishing nearby and swimming in the beautiful pool is always a highlight. An added bonus this year was getting a message to say we could check in early. Thank you again. The memories we get from our stay are beautiful. A trip to the Beaconsfield mine was also a highlight this year.

Stargazers Cottage was so beautiful, situated right on the water on a huge private property. We loved watching the galahs, swans and water birds fly past while we soaked in the hot tub or sat on the deck. We even saw a seal out in the bay. It was comfortable and peaceful. The cinema room and games collection went down well with the 9 year old. The cottage is well stocked with everything you need. We didn't want to leave, two nights just wasn't enough!

Place was awesome, relaxing and welcoming. Plenty of room for everyone. View was amazing especially at night. Fresh bread left on arrival was delicious and very thoughtful. We would book again!!

One of those places you see in the magazines. The kitchen was amazingly provisioned. Really would have loved to spend some more time there. Perfect base for exploring the area or just staying in and relaxing in any of the indoor or outdoor areas.

Really enjoyed our stay at Nina's place, the view was amazing and the area so peaceful. Good place to explore the north and east of Tasmania, with the addition of having the local wildlife visiting the back garden twice a day. We would highly recommend this Air Bnb.

We LOVED our stay in Trevallyn! The view & the light in this place is amazing. It's well set up and very comfortable. Walking distance to the Gorge & downtown! And a great home base to explore the area. We highly recommend this fabulous place.

Beautiful home in a lovely location - the bay window (with gorgeous views) was a highlight! We enjoyed our stay here & would recommend to others. The local shops (short walk away) are great for coffee & groceries!

The location was awesome with lots of history but definitely comfortable. Walking distance to the Penguin Tour was a big bonus

We love our stay at Chris' place. It has a beautiful view of hillside houses and trees. It is only 1 minute drive to Cataract George Reserve and only a short drive to downtown area. The house is very modern looking with a great kitchen (with excellent kitchen appliances for serious cooking) and living room. Bathroom water are quickly heated and air-conditioning system works very well. Chris goes above and beyond to provide us with super generous supply including eggs, fresh milk and oat milk, coffee beans, bread, a big bucket of yogurt, fresh strawberry and raspberry. Thank you so much! We would definitely want to stay here again.

Nell’s place is absolutely lovely. Very cosy in a beautiful area with a great outlook. I would absolutely recommend this place if you are headed to Launceston. 😊

It was the perfect spot for our crafting / sewing get together. We all had a fantastic time and enjoyed our stay immensely. The host greeted us personally as well as said goodbye - a really lovely touch. Beautiful fresh roses on the dining table; also a lovely touch. Thank you Liang and John.

A beautiful space with lots to do if your looking to just switch off for your getaway. Tim was very friendly and responsive while there.

A truly charming and homely place to stay, right next to the beach. Lovely wallabies in the huge yard stopping by for a visit which was a real treat. Very quiet location. i would highly recommend.
