The bus stop is a 3-minute walk away, so you can be at Amsterdam Centraal in 12 minutes. The guest house itself offers everything you need during a vacation. In our guesthouse, it is wonderful to "come home" after, for example, a busy day in the city, or, for example, a bike ride along all the nice villages here in the area.

COTTAGE NEAR THE WATER

You will find the cottage on a little island called De Woude. It is a true paradise for birdwatchers, hikers and fishermen but if you want visit Alkmaar, Zaanse schans, Amsterdam ore you want to go to the beach you will be there in ca. 35 minutes by car. With a ferry you get to the island. The ferry goes back and forth all day until 23:00. Cars are allowed. their is a private parking place near the cottage.

Het Oude Strandhuis

This unique accommodation has its own style. It is an old beach house that has become a beautiful contemporary cottage, with fantastic views over the meadows. From your bed, you can look through the French doors to the meadows and enjoy the morning sun. At the front, you can see the "Stelling van Amsterdam" and over the meadows. From the terrace, you can enjoy the sunset. Really a beautiful place.

We would like to welcome you to an authentic ‘Zaans’ house built by the owner himself. The house is near the famous ‘Zaanse Schans’ with her windmills, museums and its traditional houses. Amsterdam is only 15 minutes away by public transportation. Cities like Alkmaar and Haarlem even the Dutch beach, are easily reachable from this beautiful location. The price is including tourist tax.
