Villa vacation rentals in Weligama Bay

Soul House was a great find, being close enough to the beach and town in Ahangama but also sufficiently removed in a very green and peaceful neighbourhood that also included other walkable dining options. The team on site led by Himasha were very helpful with all our requests. As a relatively large group of nine the villa was still big enough with the master bedroom large enough to sleep upto four, despite being a four-bedroom villa.

We had a wonderful week at Mandaram Villa with warm hospitality, a gorgeous quiet garden, spacious airy rooms, an awesome outdoor shower, and delicious homemade food. The hosts were incredible, the house was comfortable, and Darasan took excellent care of us, driving our family of 4 around to every beach and site we wanted to visit. We couldn't have asked for a better stay.

We had the best time at the villa. The minute we entered we were in awe of the place. It actually looked better than the pictures. We were a bunch of girls and skeptical about the safety as it was a new country but Binara made us feel right at home. There was periodical cleaning at the villa with a caretaker always at the property. The pool was always maintained clean and the team maintained privacy as well. Binara was always helpful and responsive. The location is bang on as well. Walkable to beach and 5 mins to all the famous cafes like Kai, cactus etc. couldn’t have asked for a better place to live in SriLanka. Highly recommend this place- be it with you family or friends.

We had an amazing stay at Indie’s house! The host and the staff in the house makes you feel right at home. The breakfast in the morning is homemade and delicious. The house, garden and pool were cleaned daily. The host offered lots of info on activities, restaurants and arranged our transportation. The house is spacious, well decorated and has everything you could need. Right on the beach, you can hear the waves from your bedroom. Will definitely stay there again :)

Telo was an amazing place to stay in the south of Sri Lanka! Walking distance to a spectacular beach spot and multiple cafes and restaurants. Short tuk tuk ride away from surfing spots and many more bars and eateries. The place itself was beautifully designed, large, and peaceful. The manager was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Would recommend to anyone and would absolutely stay again!

Pasindu was incredibly welcoming and even waited to greet us despite our late check-in. He gave us a full tour of the property, which was impressively well maintained. From the essentials to the extras, everything was thoughtfully set up. The pool was clean and inviting, bathrooms spotless with amazing water pressure, and the internet was blazing fast—even by international standards. Daily cleaning was a huge plus, and the cleaning lady was super thorough. Uber Eats deliveries had no trouble finding the place thanks to clear markings. The only heads-up is the access road—it’s a bit rough, so low-clearance cars might struggle a bit. Overall, a fantastic stay. Would definitely visit again!

Overall we had a great experience, was there for my bachelorette and the staff really put up with us. Only complaints- a few of the lights and fans were not working and were not fixed. We were definitely given tap water, one of the can was filled with tap water, I’m assuming they ran out of water in the night and one of the staff had no choice but to serve us that. Would still give the stay a 5 star review was the host was kind enough to help with local recommendations and the staff was there to help whenever asked.

We (family of 5 with 3 young kids) loved our stay at Helios. Ashley has designed the place beautifully and the interior design is very cool. The garden and pool area was heavenly with so much wildlife (monkeys, lizards, birds and we even saw a mongoose in the garden!). It was easy to get lost in time watching the monkeys swinging around in the trees and jumping on the roof. We loved the outdoor bathrooms. The team were very helpful and responsive and Lalani made a great breakfast. The location is great, near to a superb coffee shop and cafe (The Kip) and back from the main road in Ahangama (which is extremely hectic especially with young children), so it was a bonus to be set back from there. We loved our stay and made lots of great family memories. Thanks Ashley and team, we’d definitely recommend!

Just... wow! We felt truely blessed with the opportunity to stay here. The pictures really don't do the view and villa justice, it's a really remarkable find and absolutely stay here if you get the chance. Sonali and her family are wonderful people, who really made the stay. Sonali's cooking was wonderful, lots of dishes each evening that were so tasty and taking the time to go through the menu with us is really thoughtful and made sure we enjoyed everything. Lesley and Ken have truely thought of everything, there's not a single thing missing and nothing to be improved on. We went out easily on tuk tuks to visit surrounding areas, only to return to absolute bliss with a dip in the warm infinity pool. We even took a little boat ride around the lake from the dock at the end of the garden that Sonali organised for us. This place is a true gem, and we felt so lucky to be able to stay here - just try and stop us visting again!

Our stay at The Dragonfly Villa was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in a sense of calm and beauty that only a place like this can offer. A standout highlight was the exceptional cuisine lovingly prepared by Nayana. Each dish she created was bursting with flavour — fresh, comforting, and unforgettable. Every mealtime became a moment we looked forward to. Equally wonderful was the gracious hospitality of Ushan, who was always there with a warm smile, ready to assist with anything we needed - reservations, recommendations, or simply answering our many questions with patience and kindness. His presence made everything smooth and enjoyable. The Dragonfly Villa exceeded all expectations. Every person we encountered went out of their way to make our family trip very special. We left feeling so lucky and grateful

We had a truly beautiful and relaxing stay. Kavinda our host went above and beyond for us, and the chef’s cooking was absolutely perfect—they even shopped for all the ingredients! The villa’s rustic charm made it feel extra special. Though the beach hut had some weather damage, Buddika let us know in advance and kindly offered a BBQ, which was such a thoughtful touch. Sadly, we were involved in a serious accident on our way to the airport, but even from abroad, Buddika supported us incredibly—liaising with Etihad and sending her husband to visit us. Despite the unfortunate end, our stay was truly wonderful, and we highly recommend it.

Stayed for 2 nights as a group of 5 friends and overall had an fantastic experience. The home was spotlessly clean, spacious, and really comfortable for our group. The location was ideal, just a short walk to the beach and close to great brunch spots. The outdoor pool was a real highlight for us. It was clean, well-maintained, and was perfect to enjoy in the evening. The host was also great, very friendly and responsive and stayed in touch throughout our stay. They also provided a helpful recommendation leaflet with local tips which really appreciated. Overall, a fantastic spot for a fun and relaxing getaway with friends. Many thanks!

Clare’s place was everything & more than what we were expecting. The villa is absolutely beautiful, set in the most peaceful & tranquil surroundings. Nuwan’s cooking and hosting was the cherry on the top of our experience. Tushara also really looked after us. We were able to organise 3 private yoga classes & a massage - personal highlights of my stay at the villa. All of the above meant that whenever we left the villa, we wanted to get back straight away to our private paradise even though Ahangama is a great area to visit. Highly recommend staying and experiencing the beauty of Villa Sisila!!

Fantastic stay at Talaramba Reef! We had a large family gathering for 3 nights (9 adults and 5 children) and booked both villas. The villas were beautiful, thoughtfully decorated, very comfortable, with lovely and immaculately kept grounds. The place was very spacious and it felt very relaxing, and the pools were very pleasant. Ranjith and his team were incredible. They were kind, friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a memorable stay, including helping to organize a party and putting up a lovely banner. The food was also exceptional and great value for money. We cannot recommend this place enough!

Stunning property, great staff and fabulous food.. couldn’t ask for more.. located a 10 minute walk from ahangama secret beach, Tim’s place is a paradise.. lush green surroundings, peaceful, a massive pool and cheerful, friendly staff… we hope to visit Bayagima again in the near future.. thanks again for hosting us the last night Tim!!!

We just returned from the most unforgettable stay at this stunning private villa in the south of Sri Lanka, and we’re still floating from the experience! We were 3 families with 6 young kids (ages 3 to 8), and this place was pure paradise for all of us. From the moment we booked, the host Sophie was an absolute gem—warm, welcoming, incredibly responsive, and full of helpful tips to make our stay extra smooth. The villa itself? Breathtaking. Think lush gardens, open tropical spaces, beautifully designed rooms, and a serene vibe that instantly makes you feel relaxed and at home. It was spacious enough for our group to feel comfortable and connected, with plenty of areas for the kids to explore and the adults to unwind. And the staff! So friendly, so kind, and so attentive. But the real star of the show was Dias, the private chef, who absolutely blew us away with his who absolutely blew us away with his cooking. If you’re thinking of staying here—do it. This place is magic.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Noumi, the staff were friendly, kind and responsive. We were welcomed with cold towels, juice and a fruit basket (5 star welcome). The villa itself was very clean, the photos are accurate! The breakfast and dinner we had in the villa were wonderful. The kids were well catered for with a massive box of lego and some toys/card games which were well used after beautiful morning swims at secret beach. Overall I would recommend this place to families or a few couples or even friends. Well located and a short tuk tuk ride or short walk into town and the beach. Thanks for having us!

FireMoonGarden is not just a villa, but a whole experience. And I'm sure you won't find anything better around Mirissa. Staying here ended up being one of the highlights of our Sri Lanka trip. Absolutely flawless. I would highly recommend staying here if you're looking for something a little more special.

Pavithri & Rajitha were great host. They took care of all our needs. The house was beautifully decorated and very neat & clean. Kitchen was with all amenities as described. Anjalee's villa was spectacular, well thought out and immaculate. The landscaping was surreal! The villa came with very kind and attentive staff members and the adorable Mari the dog. Highly recommended and one of the best Airbnb's I have stayed in, without a doubt!

Stop scrolling through the reviews and just book this stay already! Everything about the Temple House was fantastic - from the decor to the amenities to the constantly cleaned pool to the villa manager and staff availability and helpfulness. Communication with Jo was a breeze. Jo was proactive and provided all the information we needed. The chef that we shared with another villa made amazing vegetarian food for our party of 4 adults. Nish the villa manager went out of his way to make us comfortable. Shashi was super duper helpful, making breakfast for all of us and staying with my grandma and infant to ensure their comfort when the rest of us were out exploring. The place was spic and span thanks to Ashanti cleaning the indoor area and the uncle outside cleaning the yard and pool. There was a short period of power outage that was handled well by Jo and the team. They had USB/ battery powered lights and fans that allowed us - especially my infant - to feel comfortable. Loved it!!!

Priyankara is a wonderful and kind host, his property is even better than the pictures, he was around to walk us through the space and gave local recommendations., We only stayed for a couple of days, but felt right at home, It's very charmingly decorated as well. Thank you for your hospitality Priyankara.

What can I say? The days at the accommodation were perfect. My wife and I have traveled through 74 countries and stayed in some top class Airbnbs, this was the best so far because the overall package was right. Quiet and private location, super well maintained, the pool was bigger than it looked in the photos, the location was perfect between Midigama and Ahangama, everything was within a few minutes reach. Our children more than enjoyed the large garden to play in. But now we come to the absolute highlight, which made us feel like home. Special thanks goes to the chef Prabod, who provided us with delicious food every day and read every wish from our lips. We would also like to thank Shantha and Nishante, who looked after our safety, the cleaning and the garden. All three of them took great care of our children and were always ready to have fun. Thanks to you three, we have taken Sri Lanka to our hearts and have made friends on the other side of the world. Thank you guys.
