Villa Lucid

WillemRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We (family of four with young kids) came across this house and loved it, but it didn’t have a bed for our one year old daughter, so we sent Vic a message and he went out of his way to find one. Great start! When we got there, the house was even better than the pictures give away: private villa on the quiet outskirts of Ahangama, but a five minute tuk tuk ride will get you to the town’s centre where all the restaurants and such are. Modern bedrooms, each with their own bathroom, nice kitchen and living room, beautiful pool, huge patio with a roof over it, monkeys in the trees in the morning etc. etc. I contacted Vic several times during our stay and always got quick replies with great advice - places to eat, tuk tuk drivers, surf coach and places to see. Would definitely recommend and hope to visit again myself some day!

We had six lovely days at the villa. It’s right on a quiet beach, and a five minute walk to see the turtles! Sunil’s breakfasts were amazing and he was always willing to help. Would definitely recommend.

Treehouse with pool b/w Galle and Unawatuna Beach

TaliaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Amazing place! Beautiful pool and incredible views. Mrs Ira is so lovely and gave us a cooking lesson for free!! Vincent sent a really helpful guide and the property is really one of a kind. Area is kind of remote (walk to jungle beach but a bit further from unawatuna) which is nice and secluded and easy to get around with Kumar’s tuk tuk rides and connections :))

Cococabana Beach House. Sole use with pool.

HelenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Andy and Daniel’s beautiful pool house, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect getaway. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed – Andy and Daniel are the kindest, most thoughtful hosts you could hope for. The pool house itself is lovely, and especially our daughter very much enjoyed the pool. We tried the home cooked breakfast and dinner as well, which was delicious! Andy went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, and her warmth and hospitality made our stay all the more memorable. It’s rare to find an airbnb that feels so effortlessly welcoming. Can’t recommend this magical place enough!

Diviya Villa - Madiha Hill

AmberRating, 5 stars4 days ago
What a hidden gem! This is one of the best places we have stayed in Sri Lanka. You wouldn’t even know it was there it’s so private and peaceful, but also right on the seafront and close to a couple of cafés/bars/restaurants. Chamara was so helpful from the minute we arrived and organised us a sunrise yoga session on the terrace, lunch / dinner, a gorgeous floating breakfast and snorkelling with turtles. We only stayed for one night but wish we could have stayed for much longer. Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of booking!

Moss Villa

AlineRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We rented the Moss Villa for a whole month and absolutely loved it. The garden and pool are beautiful and well maintained — a peaceful oasis just 5 minutes by bicycle from awesome surf spots and Ahangama town. It’s quiet, yet close enough to walk or cycle anywhere, with tuk-tuks always available too. The villa had everything we needed: comfy beds, a fully equipped kitchen, good Wi-Fi, and a stunning outdoor area. Our 3-year-old also had a great time! The owners were wonderful — great communication from booking to checkout and always helpful during our stay. We’d definitely come back and highly recommend it!

The Marigold

NeilRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Catherine's place is fantastic, beyond what we expected from the photos. It was large, well furnished and had plenty of nooks for the ten of us on a family holiday to find some chill time. The bedrooms were large, air conditioned (and fans), each with their own bathroom, and very comfortable. The garden was beautiful and spacious and with outdoor pavillion and wide verandahs was perfect to watch the kids in the pool. Nimal, the chef at the house, was fabulous and could cook almost anything we wanted from full Sri Lankan banquets to burgers and pizza. He was great to work with as was house manager Sathish. We had a wonderful 10 days here and would love to do it again.

Thank you so much for your hospitality! The place was really cozy and nice, we loved the balcony surrounded by blooming trees. The hosts were incredible - friendly, responsive. For example, we wanted ab extra key and a fan for the balcony - all of our requests were completely satisfied. It was always clean and neat - cleaning every week with a change of bed linen. The place is close to the main beaches, bus stop and everything you light need. Yard is blooming and big enough for parking 4-5 bikes

The Takamaka Tree

JonasRating, 5 starstoday
Spent 3 nights at Josephine's place. The place was super nice, spacious and had a great roof terrace. In addition, the recommendations were great - here Josephine put together a nice document that you should definitely read through. Also, the price was very fair. I highly recommend it. is a little off the beach but there is a small, cute shop right around the corner and a super delicious family-run restaurant (Humbhaha Ahangama) within walking distance. For most other things, it's better to take a tuktuk. Here you should definitely pay attention to the recommendation from the document, Anoura was just great :)! My only negative point is that it is a bit close to the railway line and can be a bit noisy at times - but that didn't bother us. Highly recommended!

The house was spacious and the garden was perfect for outside breakfast and dinner. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the beach, restaurants and train station. The communication with Suren and his family was very good, they are lovely people living just beside the house and ready to help us whenever we needed it! For the price it’s a bargain, we definitely recommend :)

Terrene Villa: your playful oasis by the beach

KarenRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Terrene Villa was everything and more. Jalal responded quickly to any queries before arrival and during the booking process. We stayed for two weeks as a family of 4, plus daughter's boyfriend. The villa is stunning and just as described. Sri Lanka is the gift that keeps on giving and Terrene Villa is the perfect place to enjoy it all. Suda and Judi (apologies if I have spelt their names wrong) were a delight and looked after us very well. Their breakfasts were enjoyable and the fresh juices were delicious. The gardens were kept beautifully and what a joy to see monkeys in the trees and on the roof! Viraj sorted all our travel and day trips out and was always quick to reply and make suggestions. We were so sad to leave the villa, it really is an oasis of calm.

The comfortable Coconut House

LauraRating, 5 stars101 months ago
We spent a wonderful family Christmas at this property, it's in a fantastic position in the jungle 0.7 km from Delawalla beach. The walk to the beach is very easy and entertaining on quiet lanes we saw palm squirrels, monkeys, monitor lizards every day. The beach is amazing with a natural lagoon meaning the water is calm and safe for swimming, we snorkled on the reef and saw lots of interesting fish, there are three great beach restaurants serving fish, pizza and local food. The house is well presented we like to cook in the evenings as we have young children and often there are not enough pans and crockery but at this property there were pleanty. The family were really helpful and can help organise trips if you want. If we return to Sri Lanka in the future we would stay here again.
A balcony area is visible, featuring traditional wooden windows that overlook a lush green landscape. The warm yellow walls complement the natural surroundings, while an air conditioning unit is mounted nearby. The terracotta-tiled floor adds a touch of comfort to the outdoor space.

It is very comfortable, clean and big house with good location (about 2 km to the cost, 5 min by motobike) . For us was available second floor with 2 bedrooms, big living room, kitchen and bathroom. Owner family is living on first floor, they are very kind and lovely people, was helping us with everything we asked.
The colonial home is surrounded by lush greenery, with outdoor seating visible amid the foliage. Soft lighting from the windows creates a welcoming ambiance, while the structure's architectural details reflect a blend of traditional and modern styles.

Luxury Holiday Home

JesseRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The staff of the hotel are excellent and we enjoyed the breakfasts they cooked. The pool area is beautiful. We liked the villa itself too. It would be nice if they put a washing machine in the unit. There can be some road noise at night, but not too much to sleep. Overall, we are glad we picked this place.
A wooden sign reading 'Welcome to Holiday Splash' is displayed against a textured wall. Potted plants flank the sign, adding greenery to the entrance area. The warm tones of the wood contrast softly with the light-colored wall.

The Holiday Splash

JadRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Fahiriya was a lovely host! He was always available whenever we needed advice or any supplies personally delivered from the local market. The property is very private with a small garden and lockable gate. House is spacious and kitchen was well equipped to allow us to cook at home. A small Cargills supermarket is 5 minutes walk away as well as a number of friendly food vendors selling seasonal fruit or local foods. Dewata Beach was also 5 minutes away walking. Great spot for our kids as the water was relatively shallow and waves not too big. Heaps of options for surf lessons/board hire if that's also your thing. There was also a great locally run restaurant called Madeena Beach Hotel which we frequented a number of times. Don't be put off by the appearance as it's excellent food without the tourist price. About 15min tuk tuk back into Galle Fort or the other direction to Unawatuna Beach. Overall a nice quiet spot which was perfect for our family getaway.

Freedom Villa

AleksanderRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Finding a place for a long stay and remote work is not easy and I’m happy to say that Rashmika’s home checked all the boxes! It’s basic but has all the needed amenities, ACs in both bedrooms work great, and internet connection is truly reliable. Both of us were working at the same time, on the calls, and never experienced any issues. Family living next door is sweet and caring, but not intrusive. Rashmika’s mum offered us food a couple of times and it was absolutely delicious! On top of that there are at least 5 restaurants within the short walking distance (+ many more a bit further away) offering various dishes (both local and international), and you can also other on Uber eats. To keep our routine, we were going to the gym twice per week and decided to in fact walk, instead of drive, and it was the best decision! 3km one way through local paths, railways, surrounded by coconut palms, banana trees and insane greenery was a great local experience to have! 1 month was not enough!
The exterior of the house is showcased at night, featuring illuminated windows and a covered balcony. Soft lighting enhances architectural details, while palm plants are positioned in front, adding greenery to the scene. The overall structure highlights a modern design with a welcoming ambiance.
