Farmstay vacation rentals in Washington County

This was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. Everything we wanted to do was within a 15 minute drive and yet we felt like we were out in the country. The goats provided loads of entertainment!! The soap and cheese were wonderful! It was like going to your grandmother's house!!

We had a great time and the check in process was seamless. Keith was proactive and very responsive.

Colby's place was very adequate and we enjoyed a lovely family time. Because it was rainy, we were mostly indoors, but there was room for everyone! The beds were very comfortable and we appreciate the opportunity to stay there!

We've been coming to Fox Haven for 10 years; it's become a winter tradition for our family and friends. It's the perfect setting for communal meals and fireside conversations, not to mention plenty of space for kids to run rampant. JoAnn is always helpful, and Randy was great in answering our questions and restocking our firewood (it was freezing this weekend!). We can't wait to come back.

We had an incredible Christmas at the caboose farm. The place was just right for our family and Colby was more than responsive and helpful. We are so thankful that we had access to the rec center, which was a great overflow place for our large group where we played reindeer games and watched movies and had all the fun. We also have beautiful pictures to keep for years to come of this special memory and beautiful time together with our family. Thank you so much for helping to make our Christmas special!!

There was plenty of space inside and out for us to enjoy a long weekend. We did the scavenger hunt at the farm and walked along the country road and creek. The refrigerator had lots of space, and the kitchen had what we needed. The welcome binder was helpful. JoAnn was a responsive host, and I appreciated the encouragement to drink the tap water and compost. :)

Fox Haven Farm was a delightful place for our family to all stay together surrounding our daughter's graduation from college in nearby VA. Coming from several states, we were grateful for comfortable beds and plenty of bathroom space. The house and its property were both a peaceful place to just hang out or take a quiet walk around the beautiful pasture. Joann and the caretaker were friendly and helpful but allowed us privacy. The best treat was watching the herd of friendly cows who were just as curious about us! The 30-40 min drive to our destinations was breathtakingly beautiful and well-worth the commute.

This is our fifth time staying at the Caboose House. Colby is always great and checks in along the way. We have never had an issue which is great. The character of the house and property is hard to duplicate. Amazing. Thank you for the upgrades to the property. My wife was pleased to see some of the new amenities and the upgraded tv was a nice touch. We look forward to more stays in the future.

During our stay we had a couple issues and Brent was incredibly quick to remedy them as well as always maintained very pleasant professional communication. It was a pleasure talking with Brent and would recommend anyone with a large group stay here over other places!

WOW! What an amazing air bnb and property! Dawn was a great host and very attentive to our needs and great to talk with. We had dogs with us and were able to use the trails around the property to run them. I cannot wait to come back!

This was my second time staying at Carey's place, and it was just as wonderful as the first visit. (I wondered - will it be as good as I remembered? And it was!) This place is one of my favorite Airbnb's. It's a great choice, especially if you are planning on staying at the house for most of the visit. It is the best-stocked kitchen I've experienced, the house is cozy and expertly decorated, and the property has so much charm. Already planning for the third year :)

This is a gorgeous, well-maintained home in a beautiful location. Our group included a mixture of adults and kids from three different households. There was plenty of room for us all to gather in the living areas and also more than enough seating at the dining room table. The kitchen is well-stocked with pots, pans, and dishes and it had whatever we needed to churn out meals during our long-weekend visit. The back deck, which overlooks a breathtaking mountainous vista, is perhaps the most impressive part of the house. We enjoyed eating outside when the weather permitted and made use of the comfortable furniture to hang out and relax.

Donna was present upon arrival with a warm friendly greeting and was accommodating to our needs. She gave us excellent recommendations for places to hike per our request. The room was very large and clean with a pristine full private bathroom. There was a nice size mini fridge and microwave in the walk-in closet space which was much appreciated. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the temperature control was perfect. The peaceful, remote surroundings were just what we needed to relax and yet only 5 mins to town. Highly recommend this beautiful place!

We can't speak highly enough of Donna's beautiful house. Everything was absolutely perfect. Donna is very friendly, has excellent recommendations and will always offer assistance. Our room, the house and grounds were all lovely. This was just what we needed for a relaxing end to our travels. Until next time!

Our family of four adults had the utmost comfort in this Zen retreat. Very clean and well appointed. We enjoyed watching deer, groundhogs and birds. The hot tub and outside shower were relaxing and refreshing. The beds, towels and linens are all extravagant and pampering. The bathrooms have every convenience including toiletries, bathrobes and a towel warmer. We loved the different sinks throughout and the river stones in the main bath. We surely could have fit more people in this bright space but we found time away from each other, too, with one on the swing, one sipping a drink on the front porch, someone enjoying a rainshower in the master bath while someone read in the magical window seat with views across the west. We cooked finding all necessary and high end appliances. The coffee and tea bar provided dozens of choices. This haven was what we needed. We highly recommend this special home with fun and smart touches.

We couldn’t have picked a better place to spend our Easter. Chris and his team were responsive and beyond friendly. We felt right at home the minute we walked in and were absolutely blown away by the view. This property truly feels like a little piece of heaven and we feel so blessed we were able to experience it together. We can look back on this weekend and remember a proposal under the stars, which felt like an absolute dream. We wouldn’t have wanted to have our special moment anywhere else. We look forward to hopefully planning our wedding in this very same spot in 2026! Thank you so much for having us! ❤️

It was an amazing getaway was very much needed and will definitely return for another trip.

Every bit of attention to detail has been paid. The farm is breathtakingly beautiful, calm, and so easy to get to! We went to a local vineyard and ventured into Frederick— all lively drives and less than 20 minute drive. All dishes, cookware, and necessities were amply available. The beds were comfortable, the sheets felt amazing, the towels were soft and the fire pit was an absolute delight. Thank you for such an amazing trip!

Amazing accommodations! Very well kept nearly 300 year old vintage colonial resting on several acres nestled back within the landscape where wild deer feel free to wander the estate just minutes from historical Harpers Ferry, Martinsburg, and other famous landmarks as well as a Vegas style casino (Hollywood). This is a must visit for anyone coming to the area for a short trip or an extended stay!

We had a wonderful stay from May 2nd to May 11th with our three young children. Communication with the host was excellent—always quick, friendly, and helpful. The listing was exactly as described: clean, well-equipped, and suitable for families with small children. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for five people. We particularly enjoyed the beautiful garden by the river, a peaceful spot to relax. The location is quiet but also ideal for exploring the area, even for day trips to Washington, D.C. Overall, this is a perfect place for families looking for a nice and nature-close stay with great accessibility. We would love to come back!

Gorgeous cabin in a secluded location has everything needed for a great vacation. The kitchen was well-equipped and nicely appointed with high-end appliances. The beds were comfortable. We enjoyed watching wildlife from the dining room, which has windows on three sides. Our hosts did a great job communicating and check-in was easy. We would definitely stay there again.
