A few girlfriends and I spent an extended weekend in the chalet of Salome and Jan. It was extremely idyllic. The mountain panorama is like a painting. Salome and Jan are extremely friendly hosts and interested in the guest having a good time in their paradise. I am a little monk and was very satisfied with the hygiene. I had disinfectants with me just in case, but it was absolutely unnecessary. There's passion in the cottage! The hot pot is also a cool thing, especially since we had fog and it was rather fresh one day, so it was perfect to enjoy something and warm up. The climb from the car/parking lot to the top is not easy, but it is worth every effort! 💯 Hopefully not the last time 🙏 Sincerely, Chantal and the Rasselbande 😉

A wonderful gem. Stylish and furnished with a lot of love for detail with everything you need. Super comfortable bed, cozy sofa lounge, simply GREAT. We were very warmly and easily welcomed by Daniela and were able to spend great days in the Chlara. We highly recommend the Maiensäss.

Silke's place was magnificent, with stunning views from all rooms and an unsurpassed sense of tranquility looking out at Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains. The place itself was modern and sparkling clean, with comfortable beds, a beautiful kitchen, luxurious bath products, and a patio that was very hard to leave. She offered excellent tips for things to do in the area and was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We would love to come back for a longer stay, and highly recommend this special spot.

We had a lovely stay for 3 (2 adults and a dog) in this lovely cottage. The accommodation was clean, beautifully decorated and very well-equipped. The location is peaceful and the cottage is well located for hiking in the area. I assure you, the few steps of stairs are very quickly climbed and give way to a magnificent view :-)

We felt very comfortable in the apartment, it is well and functionally furnished, everything for a pleasant stay is available. David is a very friendly, helpful host, everything went smoothly. Waltensburg is a good starting point for hikes, we have also made excursions by public transport to surrounding picturesque places. We can only recommend this apartment!

Spectacular location and a house that matches.. we had a lovely time, very well designed and built house, takes fully advantage of the beautiful scenery out side, highly recommended.. PS.. this applies for only during May-June ‘25 as the road in front of the house is getting repaired, it is important to note that there is only walking access to the house. This means that guests will need to carry their luggage for certain sections of the route from the parking lot.. just to provide clarity there is no option to drag your wheeled luggage to the house, it will need to be carried. Just wanted to provide this clarity as I thought this was assumed by us.. although the host had communicated to use about the access but this aspect was not clarified.

Wonderful place to stay! We were there with a baby and it was still great to visit. Matthias is a great host! One thing you want to consider when traveling there - the last part of the road should be done in a daylight, we did it in the evening and it was very foggy, so we couldn't see a lot driving uphill, but we managed anyways.
