Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Waitaki District

Mel's place was cosy and just right for our 2 night stay. Located just a 3 min drive from the Market Place at Twizel. Convenient for dining and groceries. We visited Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo during our trip. This place is a good 40mins away from Mount Cook and was very convenient for us. She had a playground outside as well and children's toys. That kept our children happy and entertained. Great for families with young children.

A perfect spot to relax and enjoy the amazing views in a comfortable & cozy holiday home. It was so good to find accommodation that is genuinely dog friendly. It is walking distance to the river and beach. We really loved our 4 night stay here and thank you Lisa for sharing your home & being such a great host.

We loved staying in Andrea's Airbnb! There was plenty of space for our family of 5, the layout was nice, kitchen and bathrooms fully equipped, and - perhaps the highlight for us - the wood-stove/fireplace right there in the dining area. What a joy to eat dinner after a cold day hiking in the mountains, right next to a roaring fire! It was very quiet at night, and the beds were so comfortable. We slept like babies. It was only about 50 minutes drive to Mt Cook, and for us was a much better option than trying to stay at the park itself. Twizel was a nice little town with peaceful streets, some very nice restaurants, a Foursquare grocery store (very handy for stocking up before the hikes), and what we found especially cool was the food-trucks near the town park that sold all kinds of delicious foods which we took home for dinner. I wouldn't even give it a second thought: if we're in the area again in the future, THIS is where I will want to stay. Thanks Andrea!

It is lovely to sit outside when the sun is shinning and nice and cosy on cold nights with the fire. The bedrooms are very spacious and comfortable. It's not far to drive anywhere. We had a great time exploring and shopping would definitely recommend to anyone looking for somewhere to stay in Oamaru.

I choiced Lisa's house for my friends for their stay at Moeraki. They tell me it's a wonderful stay there. Thank you very much, Lisa. You make them had a pleasant experience while in your property.

We enjoyed the stay with discover takepo. very close to the lake, wonderful view from back of the house. lot of games included in the house for families with kids.

Wish we stayed a little longer. Very nice place.

Gaye was friendly and responsive. We arrived early and he was flexible and allowed us to check in early. This was our last night before heading back to Christchurch. It was a restful stay.

Beautiful, tidy, and clean house with a lovely sea view. We really enjoyed our stay here—the amenities were fully equipped and had everything we needed. Definitely worth the price!

Yiling 's apartment was a treasure. Spacious, clean, comfortable...like new. Yiling was always responsive, and even picked our luggage up from the bus station, so my 90 year old friend didn't have to drag it 1 kilometer, as we explored town before our early check-in. I would be happy to stay here on my next visit.

We had a beautiful stay in Otematata, very peaceful and clean - exactly as described in the listing! Nice touches too; a selection of teas, plenty of extra blankets, and a well equipped kitchen. This place is such great value, and I’d love to come back! Thanks Robyn and Ross :)

조용하고 내집처럼 편안하게 지냄. 사진ㅘ 동일하며 숙소가 깨끗하고 침대가 편안함. 밤이 되면 온도가 내려가 약간 추웠는데 히터가 있어 따뜻하게 지낼 수 있었음. 다양한 조리도구와 소금, 후추, 오일 등 기본 재료들이 있어 지내는 동안 요리하기에 편리했으며 여행 중반에 접어들어 세탁소를 찾고 있었는데 마침 세탁기가 있어 간단한 세탁도 할 수 있어 너무 좋았음. 맑은 날에는 밤에 밤하늘의 별도 잘 보임. 매우 만족하여 추천함.

Anna and Mike were amazing! We asked for an early check-in, and although guests were there before, they let us know when we could arrive after they cleaned. Their place was pristine and tranquil. They were patient and flexible as well as I remembered the wrong check-out time and let us take our time. It's a little outside of Twizel, but this place was preferable for us. I recommend it if you like a more peaceful stay.

The place is exactly as advertised and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The place is a stone’s throw away from the infamous church, the lake and eateries and a myriad walking trails. The space is warm, spacious and has great views from every room including the bathroom ! The living room has a heat pump and individual heaters in the bathroom and bedroom and also underfloor tile heaters for those cold nights so you definitely won’t feel cold. The balcony was perfect for chilling out with a glass of wine with the afternoon sun in your face whilst admiring views of the lake. Kaori is a lovely host and came to personally greet us after checking in. There’s lots of instructions provided including info on things to see and do. 5 stars all around and would recommend this place to family and friends.

Leng's place was as expected. Easily accessible to the stargazing tour we booked. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Check in and check out were straight forward. There were noticeable stains on the couch and chairs in the living space. The walls were indeed thin and we could hear our neighbours talking.

Great place to stay whilst in Tekapo. Close to the Church of the Good Shepherd and across the road from the lake itself with great views of the lake. Would stay here again and will recommend to any of our friends or family who want to stay in Tekapo

We had a lovely stay, everything was as described and the apartment was spacious and it was easy to go to the eatery next door for dinner.

I had the most peaceful time spending 5 days here. The view was superb, it was peaceful enough for me to read all day and sleep. Condo was clean. Had everything you need inside. The eatery/ pub staff were friendly. Wetland walk was beautiful. Small little beautiful town. Will definitely be back for a birthday week away next year. Thank you.

We stayed for a night at Leng's place. Clean and tidy, comfy beds, and easily accessible to Lake Tekapo by car. This is one of a few air bnb's on the property, and we did not hear other guests in the other houses.

Great place to stay, easy instructions and quick communication from Debbie! Would recommend.
