After a long drive on a holiday weekend the little extra touches such as milk in the fridge so we could have a hot drink on arrival when all the shops were closed show that the host have thought about what they are providing (a home away from home) for people traveling to the area. Centrally located with everything you need for a short or long stay. Can't recommend highly enough and will use again when next travelling to the area. Thanks for a great stay!

Place was as described. Hosts were responsive and friendly. I stayed over Easter weekend and they had a nice chocolate spread for us when we arrived which was extra thoughtful. Cozy/quiet and lots of backyard space. Rooms were clean and the same as photographed. (It was raining during our stay so bring your own board games if you want an activity to do) but they had all the main streaming services on their TV which was great. 😊 would stay again.

Great location. Clean and tidy with good facilities. Single beds were a bit hard for adults but fine for children.

Lovely family style home in a quiet suburban setting

A beautiful house in a great spot, with everything you could need for an easy holiday. The pictures don’t do justice to how lovely the living/dining/kitchen is - spacious, well-equipped, beautiful timber and furnishings.  The bedrooms are configured in an unusual way that actually suited us perfectly - the master suite is up one flight of stairs, and the other two bedrooms are accessed by different stairs. The study with a mattress, if you need it, is on the ground floor. There was privacy and a separate bathroom for everyone! We had seen an earlier review mentioning that another property is very close to Philippa’s house. There is a small old (restored) bach that seems to open onto the same garden and deck area. We never saw anybody there and it did not affect our stay at all. This is the kind of home we would love to come back to! We travelled with a preschooler and baby.

Me and my partner stayed at Nicola's apartment for two nights. Nicola was friendly and kind. The location is beautiful and peaceful, and the apartment was tidy and organised. Nicola is generous, sharing us some of her fresh produce grown on the property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again. We would recommend it to any other traveler.

Peaceful, beautiful location. The studio is luxurious and delightfully decorated, with everything we needed being available. Perfect base for a day trip to see the magnificent whales at Kaikoura. Rangiora is only a few minutes drive away. Hope to stay again one day!

Had a very relaxing stay at this peaceful B n B set in wonderful surroundings..we felt like we were in rural France as it was very quaint and charming.We could have had a party in the bathroom..it was HUGE!
