We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Karen was kind enough to light the fire when we reached there and she introduced all the farm animals to our daughter and fed them which was the highlight of the stay. The surroundings are serene away from hustle. Can easily say one of the best farm cottages we have stayed. Highly recommended and would love to visit again! Thanks for the great stay Karen!

Heather was incredibly kind and gave lots of recommendations for both the local town and Arthur’s Pass. I would highly recommend this place for either a short or long-term stay. Just be aware Google Maps gets you to the right road, but not the right driveway.

An absolutely wonderful farm cottage—it has everything you need! I had such a lovely stay here 😽. Angela even left sheep feed so I could feed the adorable sheeps. I also got to see chickens, a cat, and cows. Highly recommended for animal lovers! Plus, the electric blanket on the bed made me feel so cozy and happy.

Such a quiet, peaceful and beautiful place to stay in. The host was very responsive and the the cottage was clean and so comfortable to stay in. It truly felt like home away from home for our family during the whole weekend. We would definitely stay there again for some rest and relaxation in the future!

We LOVED our stay at Penelope's B&B! Our first impression was of the luxury of ample space and comfort. The generous spaciousness of the B&B allows easy separation of the living area from the bedroom and the kitchenette / eating area. The bed is very comfortable. Water pressure in the shower is amazing! The kitchenette is well stocked. There are inside or outside eating areas. We're not swimmers so we did not use the pool which was available. We did use the gym (but not enough because there was too much other fun stuff to do!). Our first impression upon arrival was of Charlize, the friendly dog who welcomed us with her wagging tail and gentle greeting. What a beautiful way to be welcomed to a quiet and comfortable home which seems so far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city (but is only 20 minutes from the airport!). We were treated to a tour of the property and were interested to observe the activities and projects to preserve a space for nature, birds, and native plants to flourish. We enjoyed the generous breakfast supplies of high quality items like fresh eggs from Penelope's chickens, and Penelope's own kombucha. The conversations with Penelope and Dan were very interesting - they have led such interesting lives and done so many interesting things, we wished for more time to swap stories. This is a fantastic spot - we recommend it highly and would love to return.

Lovely getaway for 3 nights. Had everything we wanted plus offered a quiet peaceful environment. Spa pool was a nice bonus.

Heathers Air B n B on Barracks was perfect for our overnight stay. Heather was a great host with a friendly manner and easy to communicate with. It was super easy to find and a quick one minute drive to Oxford. The accommodation was extremely spacious, clean and tidy, with everything you need, including toast, jams, muesli, yoghurt etc for breakfast.. nice extra! Comfy bed and very peaceful and quiet with rural views.

Lovely retreat away for the family. Very private and beautiful gardens. For a family of 8 there was plenty of room and bathrooms for everyone. The downstairs bedroom with one of the on-suites was perfect for my 85 year old mother. Margie was fantastic to deal with, very friendly and prompt with communication. Highly recommend this lovely property

Fantastic stay! Generous host with excellent communication. Spotlessly clean! Warm, affordable, comfy bed, fabulous shower. We had everything we needed washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, TV, wifi, heating, breakfast, alpaca, deer and native birds coming to visit. Excellent cafe 3 minutes down the road. Thank you Nancy! 😊
