Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Waimakariri District

Hazelnut cottage is so peaceful and surrounded by beautiful gardens. We stayed with our 9 month old baby and the place had everything we needed. Nicola and family were on hand to help if needed anything and super friendly. The pigs are a great solution for food waste too and our daughter loved watching them snaffle down the hazelnuts in the morning.

Really lovey stay. The perfect place for the occasion and a simple check-in check-out experience. Feels like a country cottage despite being on the main stretch in Amberly. Traffic noise is almost non-existent thanks to the layout of the house and the high wooden fence. The garden is fantastic too and we all wish we’d had more time to enjoy the place. Great local recommendations for food and drink too. Have already recommended to others who may be in the area in future. Thank you!

We had such an amazing stay at the cottage - it is super cute, really well thought out and just beautiful! Our only negative was that we didn't spend much time there! The views were amazing, the alpacas were a big hit with the kids - and fresh bread and jam were the cherry on top! Lisa was super responsive both before and during our stay - we would 100% recommend to other guests

Naomi is so accommodating and such a great communicator. she has helped me out on two separate occasions for my parents to stay for 2 separate family weddings a year apart and really has no idea how much it helped us being able to have them and their fur babies hosted. thanks heaps guys!

As expected, Waikari was small and quiet. The house was great for a relaxed few days, with lovely lounge and outdoor area. A bonus to be in walking distance of the local pub.

Harvey is, quite literally, the single greatest Airbnb host I've ever had the pleasure of having. Not only did he pick us up from the airport, he even went out of to help me with advice and transport for purchasing my first motorhome and was generally the friendliest, nicest person I think I have ever met. Additionally the property itself was spotless and the amenities were excellent. The shower was so nice, with great pressure and very hot. It was myself and a family member staying, and we each got a room for a great value. I would give Harvey a hundred stars out of ten if I could. An absolute legend!!!
