Family-friendly vacation rentals in Wagrain

Booked last minute and available by chance. Beautiful villa with all comforts, underfloor heating in the living/dining room, wonderful sauna and spacious jacuzzi, good beds, near the slopes and a 12-minute drive from Katschberg Höhe. With 8 adults and a child of 7, more than enough space. Also recommended in the spring, summer or autumn season. In any case, we'd love to come back again.

The place is beautiful! Great location and great chalet. Everything was really great. The only thing that irritated us a little was the check in and out times. Check-in is only from 4 pm.. whereby we could only arrive later due to work anyway, but check out 10 o'clock, is quite sporty.. Had this, not really on the screen and slept, then I contacted the host and explained that we slept in and would only check out around 10:30. 10:25 a man knocks on and goes to the chalet to clean the hot tub without further words. No hello or goodbye. Of course, you would have to pay attention to the times yourself when booking, which has gone down with us. Nevertheless, everything else was great and I can definitely recommend the place!

We had a wonderful week. The cottage run by Maikel and Britt is beautiful and very well located in a mid-mountain setting (1350 m) located at the foot of the Hochkönig in a bucolic and relaxing setting. Maikel and Britt are very welcoming and friendly, always available for good advice. The cottage is very clean, spacious, well-equipped and tastefully decorated. The sauna is very useful after a good walk. The village of Mühlbarch am Hochkönig is located 5 km down in a small valley in the center of many hikes and also a family ski resort. We recommend it.

Stefan was very kind, we could call him any time when we had some problame. He tried to help us solving problames. The appartment has a perfect view for the mountains, it was in a good location. I can only recommend this appartment to everybody

A beautiful, large, comfortable, quiet well-stocked and relaxing space in a gorgeous setting, exactly like in the photos. Christine is an experienced, kind-hearted and warm host who greeted us warmly and took a lot of time to introduce us to the area. She even and drove us around to point out sights, restaurants and parking. We could easily take a 30 min bus right into Salzburg one day and also drive to a choice of beautiful lakes, in addition to many nearby sights and hikes.

We spent 6 days in the apartment, it had everything you needed, including towels and bathrobes. The apartment was clean and the view was gigantic. There is a very tasty pizzeria Lärchenhof nearby. You can use all the amenities of the hotel, such as pools, sauna, entertainment for kids, etc. Bread service or half board/full board would also be individually bookable. With the guest card, you get many discounts. We found the stay very nice and will definitely be back! Our kids would have liked to just stay there ;) thanks for the great time!

I would highly recommend this place! Really perfect as a group trip. The place is very lovingly decorated and contains everything that is needed! We especially loved the warm barrel!

The accommodation is perfect! There are all kinds of amenities, enough space and everything is clean. The sauna and jacuzzi are an absolute highlight and very easy to use. The accommodation is super cozy. I can recommend it to everyone.

Absolutely beautiful, quiet place. Very quick and thorough communication and the hut had everything we needed. The sauna is wonderful. We (and our dog) loved our week here and would love to stay here again in the future.

We had a great stay, the appartment had plenty of room to relax in, a nice kitchen with plenty of the basic supplies. Very clean, very cosy, lots of nice little touches much more space and personable than a hotel room. Parking space right outside, easy to follow instruction for checking in and out! close to all the shops and nightlife. Five minute walk to the gondola, great little find, would come back and stay here again in a heart beat. Thank you.

We had a charming stay at Anita's guest house and highly recommend a visit to Berchtesgadener Land. The apartment was impeccable, sunny and very pretty - everything we needed to rest and explore. Anita was available to give us tips for hikes and restaurants. Although the apartment is close to the highway, the traffic stops at night. A big thank you for the hospitality!

The house is very cozy and perfect for an outdoor / fitness vacation. The gym is well equipped and the sauna offers the perfect relaxation option. Angelika and Jürgen are super friendly and accommodating, check-in and check-out were smooth and communication very fast and always warm. We especially liked the hiking trails in the immediate vicinity. All in all, definitely highly recommended!

We were in Maria Alm in January 2025 to ski. The apartment is very quietly located on the northern edge of the city center of Maria Alm. Oliver was a friendly host, the apartment was in perfect order, clean, spacious and very nice, especially with the most necessary things, furnished. We felt very comfortable. Oliver had good tips for restaurants and shopping. A parking place is also available. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Natrunbahn. At the valley station there is a super modern ski depot and you don't always have to carry the skis back and forth. All in all, excellent. Thank you. We will be happy to come back.

The stay was just great! We immediately felt at home in the family atmosphere! The apartment was perfect for our needs. But the service and openness of the hosts was outstanding. There is also a large garden with chickens! 🐓

The accommodation is very nice and there is everything you need. The garden offers plenty of space for dogs. In general, the house is very well located if you want to go hiking in the summer and then refresh yourself at the creek right next to it. The communication was flawless, the hosts were very eager to respond to individual requests. We will definitely be back!

We had a great time in the apartment! Everything was super clean and very well equipped. The pool was particularly convenient in the same building. The location is great – in a few minutes you will be at the lake or at the Schafbergbahn. Ideal if you like to hike or just enjoy nature. Check-in was totally straightforward and the host was super helpful – with lots of great tips for excursions and restaurants around. The view from the balcony to the mountains was also particularly beautiful – simply fantastic. We would come back anytime!

After a little struggle with finding the place, not really the fault of the host's directions, the reward was enormous. not a big space but the views were astonishing. The space was adequate, with functional kitchen and amenities and beautifully presented, but it was the outside which makes this place amazing. We didn't want to leave and neither will you.

Absolutely amazing mountain hut in stunning scenery. Teresa and Stefan have put in loads of work so that you can get back to basics, slow down and live it up in natural luxury! Thoroughly recommend Danke schon!

We felt very comfortable, self-catering in the spacious kitchen-living area was quite possible, we made friends with the gastro coffee machine (1 coffee €0.50). In sunny weather, the outdoor dining tables are very nice (beautiful views, good air, peace ...) The children can stay in the whole courtyard area and experience direct contact with pets. The sauna at no extra cost was much appreciated after longer hikes to relax. I spent a relaxing time with my children, grandchildren and friends at the Grimmingblickhütte.

We stayed at the property for 4 nights. We enjoyed it very much, the apartment is just right in terms of size. The swimming pool was also always a rest after long hiking days. Especially the view from the balcony to Watzmann and Jenner is definitely worth a mention. Depending on where you want to go, the city center was also easily accessible on foot in 10-20 minutes. All other attractions were reachable by car in 5-10 minutes. The building is on a slope, so you have to go up to load by car and park it a little further down. That went smoothly. In short: really recommended!

Gregors place is a wonderful place to stay. It is a working farm so there are horses, chickens, Rabbits etc in the grounds which was lovely to see. The apartment itself was spacious, with 3 bedrooms, a separate toilet, shower room, nice kitchen diner and lovely peaceful veranda where we spent half an hour each day listening to the silence. I would thoroughly recommend Gregor and Elizabeths Airbnb !!!

Very nice home! Beautiful and only 10-15 minute drive to Hallstatt without the hassle of being in the town. Host was always very helpful and responsive.

Michael is a super responsive and helpful host, the accommodation fully reflected the description and the lake view was superb, I think we'll be back. Also for those who love skiing it is very close to the cable car and a 5-minute walk there is a skating rink and a nature reserve for those who love bird watching with beautiful specimens. The only suggestion I would like to give to Michael is about the bedroom doors that are made of transparent glass and are not the best for privacy, maybe a nice shutter could help.
