Monthly Rentals in Vrachokipos

My husband, our 7yo daughter, and I stayed at Michaela's house in Crete for five nights in April, and we enjoyed it very much. The inside is clean, comfortable, and decorated nicely, but the outside living space - the pool area, the outside dining/grilling area, the terraces - make it special. Michaela's mother Eva, who lives next door, is an exceptionally welcoming and kind host. While she was nearby to help make our stay as comfortable as possible, there was no loss of privacy in the proximity. The house is in a quiet residential area, and we rented a car to get to grocery stores, restaurants, beaches, etc., and to explore Crete in general; this was easy and worked out very well. The weather during our stay was still cool enough, especially at night, so we didn't make full use of the AC system, but the house seems well equipped to handle summer heat. All in all, we recommend and hope to stay again sometime!

Great place, comfortable for a couple and good location!

this was an unexpected Oasis -- it is a family-owned compound, though family members were nearly invisible, offering help but allowing LOTS of privacy. There is a constant breeze in this remote place, and we were happy NOT to have a car so that we understood the property and the 25 minute walk that separates it from the busyness of Heraklion. we sometimes walked down the hill for dinner or to take the bus to town, but ultimately cooking and eating on the patio (and enjoying the pool after the trek home) were treasured activities after the crowds of Athens and even the Heraklion cruise people. Wish we had stayed longer-- few places we have planned in Crete offer this private and comfortable outdoor space. This family is special. 💕

We had a wonderful stay at the Gaea Loft! Check-in went completely smoothly. Titos greeted us upon our arrival with freshly squeezed orange juice, pastries and fresh eggs from his chickens. He is a very kind and likeable man who cares very much about the successful stay of his guests. The listing exactly matches the pictures. It is clean, spacious and extremely well equipped (spices, oil, luggage scale, cooling packs, etc.). Each living room is equipped with air conditioning, which quickly cools the room to the desired temperature. The view is beautiful, you can enjoy the sunrise and sunset on the balcony. The loft is accessible via a separate front door. You always have complete privacy. We can recommend the Gaea Loft to anyone!!
