Our house is in the nice, quiet neighborhood De Worp. Close to the historic center of Deventer with nice restaurants, theaters, shops and attractions. With a walk through the oldest city park in the Netherlands and a ferry crossing over the beautiful IJssel, you are in the middle of the city center with a fifteen-minute walk. The trip with the ferry still gives us a holiday feeling. You will enjoy the cozy house, the garden, the beautiful surroundings and the cozy city of Deventer.

National monument from 1621

Always wanted to stay in one of Deventer's oldest houses? In my fairytale house (a national monument from 1621) there is fortunately much of the history in tact; the high front room, the low old ribs on the 1st floor (beware of your head) and the beautiful niches. Parts of the house even date from the 14th century and have survived the great city fire in that century. The house is on a quiet street a stone's throw from the IJssel and the best restaurants Deventer owns.

An attractive wooden veranda facing south-west, fully covered and heated with 2 wall heaters. So you can always sit outside and enjoy the beautiful skies and setting sun. Peace and lots of privacy. Due to the electric fireplace and underfloor heating, the house is also very suitable for the winter period.

The name Het Stenenkruis is inspired by the Stenenkruis van de Eikelhof, a monument that has stood on our property for generations and proudly tells the story of our region. On our terrace you can enjoy the view of our meadows, while our curious cows keep you company all day long.
