A truly unique unique view over the sky mountain lake Christmas lake, against the backdrop of the most beautiful hilly landscape. From the apartment's own tarasse you can follow the life of the lake in a multitude of different birds, and everything from kayaks to regular boats. Most beautiful hikes, MTB tracks, fishing water, etc. From the cozy mountain town of Laven, the train runs in a short time to Ry, Silkeborg, Sejs, Aarhus , the station is only 400m from the apartment. There is no internal staircase between the floors, and there is a private entrance to the apartment.

You have 15 minutes by car to Silkeborg and the swimming lakes -Fx. Almindsø. 30 minutes to Himmelbjerget, where you can also sail with the hjejlen. 35 minutes to Aarhus. Smingehytten er en bjælkehytte som ligger ugenert omgivet af marker, å, enge og skov. Hytten ligger med adgang til Gudenåen og med Gjern bakker som baghave. Hytten ligger tæt på Gudenåen, 50 m., men ikke direkte ud til åen. Hytten er omgivet af uspoleret natur med fred og ro og et rigt dyre- og fugleliv. I området omkring hytten er der rig mulighed for aktiviteter som mountainbike, vandring, golf, kano, kajak, badeland, ridning mm. Hytten ligger 15min. kørsel fra Silkeborg og 45min. til Århus.

Private room with kitchenette and private entrance

WELCOME to our newly renovated apartment, which is just up the forest and with several lakes in the area - including a short distance to Østre Søbad, as you can see in the pictures. We live in the middle of Søhøjlandet and have a 5-minute drive to Silkeborg city center. There is wifi in the house, but no TV as we invite peace and good nature experiences.

Lovely annex in Gudenåfredningen close to Silkeborg

It was very cozy with Heidi. We enjoyed the proximity to nature very much. At breakfast we could watch the cows and riders were ridden in the paddock next door. Also the farm dog was very friendly and greeted us every day. In addition to relaxing in the sauna or hot tub, you can watch the yard owners at work and they are always open to entertainment. The evenings can be spent on the sofa in front of the small fireplace. We will be happy to come back to see the changes on the farm.

Hans’s place was absolutely beautiful and located right next to a fantastic water park with plenty of activities both inside and outside. The property was clean, well-maintained, and tastefully decorated. It offered everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The price was very affordable, and Hans was a flexible and friendly host who made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!
