A pretty colonial style self catering chalet, with a three sided terrace, in the beautiful undulating countryside near Lautrec. The Duck Shed shares the two hectares green space with the main farmhouse, outbuildings and numerous large trees. The building is self sufficient, designed for two people but with a convertible double sofa in the living area. It is clad with beautiful old walnut planks and is a picture of serenity. The decor is simple and characterful, modern with warmth and charm.

The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

The former pigeon house of the castle rehabilitated and arranged to welcome you. Between the country of Cocagne and Lauragais, in a country setting, several lakes nearby, a real peasant market on Saturday mornings in Lavaur, many walks around will take you from Cordes Sur Ciel to the Gorges du Tarn, in the Black Mountain, as well as Toulouse, located only 25 minutes by car. The house includes a living room with sofa bed, kitchen area, bedroom and bathroom with dry toilet. Breakfast not included but we offer homemade meals. Max power is 800W: check your devices before coming. We communicate exclusively via messaging/email, the phone does not get here.
