The cabin is idyllically located with panoramic views of the beautiful village of Førde, the fjord and even much further. Although the cabin is located on top of a hill, it is located on a farm, where sheep and lambs graze nearby. The cabin has a distinctive character, is more than 100 years old and has, among other things, a large, carved Viking ship model hanging from the ceiling. The entire cabin was restored a few years ago and then got modern equipment such as a new bathroom with heating cables and a new kitchen with all the necessary equipment.

Otertong outdoor area right next door. Between Stavanger and Bergen/Hardanger. 30 min to Haugesund, 1 h 50 min to Odda (Hardanger and Trolltunga). Rented out for the first time in 2026.

Here you get to experience the cabin Knausen which was built in 1940 and has retained most of its original touch. Here, the beds are built into the room. There is no Wi-Fi, and dishes must be washed by hand. But, the location can give peace of mind with beautiful sea views of Ålfjorden, large property with lots of nature, access to beach, fishing and short distance to Ølen, Etne, Odda/Trolltunga, Haugesund and Karmøy.

From the cabin it is only a short walk to the playground, beach and sea life. Great hiking trails nearby. Parking just outside the cabin. Guests have access to the entire cabin except for a locked storage room.

Here you can enjoy the days in calm surroundings with nature close by, either in and by the cabin or by using the amazing nature that surrounds the cabin. The cabin has recently been completely renovated and contains a living room and kitchen in one, 3 bedrooms with room for 6 - 8 people, bathroom, basement with washing machine, internet and TV. There is easy access by car all the way to the door.
