The Duck Shed, a retreat to explore from.

A pretty colonial style self catering chalet, with a three sided terrace, in the beautiful undulating countryside near Lautrec. The Duck Shed shares the two hectares green space with the main farmhouse, outbuildings and numerous large trees. The building is self sufficient, designed for two people but with a convertible double sofa in the living area. It is clad with beautiful old walnut planks and is a picture of serenity. The decor is simple and characterful, modern with warmth and charm.

The Castrum

The 3-star gîte (CDT 31) is housed in an old 13th century house that overlooks the vast village square and is part of the old medieval castrum (fortified square) whose thickness of certain walls and the embrasures recall the ancient origins of the place. The village is part of the Cocagne region within the "blue gold triangle" connecting Albi, Toulouse and Carcassonne, a region steeped in history related to the culture and flourishing trade of pastel in the 14th century.

Chez Federico et Pierre: the trapper's refuge

Small house of 6m2 with covered terrace and large hanging relaxation net, perched in the middle of the trees in a quiet setting. First human presence (we!) 200m away: you will be alone in the middle of the woods. The 300 m walk includes a steep slope. Coffee and tea are available. We offer homemade meals. Bed linen provided, towels not provided. Communication via Airbnb, because the phone does not get a good signal at our place (in the cabin it's good).

La Chaumière

In the heart of the Lauragais, in the middle of the sunflower fields and away from the village, in an unspoiled and serene setting, come and explore a real haven of peace. This charming old building, recently renovated, promises you an unforgettable moment of cocooning. You will stay in the 30 m² cottage that is on our property away from our house, surrounded by cats, horses and chickens. Privacy is preserved with our separate outdoor spaces.

Make a stopover on your way, stay for a nearby event or visit the surrounding area, and relax in our self-catering room with views of the surrounding countryside. The room is part of our primary residence but the access is independent (in the basement, garage side - our entrance is on the other side of the house). You will be greeted with a smile and by my little ones (sheep, geese, ducks, chickens, horses, cats and dogs...). You can feed them, take a few newborns in your hands, and take care of them if you like.
