Helga and Mario have a beautiful clean place with incredible views of the Douro River Valley. We had great instructions to get to the home and how to get in with a keyless code. It was raining and cold so we were soaked getting the gate open and getting suitcases inside. There’s a fireplace in the living area and I asked Helga if we could get firewood and within minutes someone arrived with wood and he even built us a fire. When I made my reservation, I mentioned that I needed a haircut/ pedicure and Helga made me an appointment with Sonia in the next village of Tabuaço for the day after we arrived, that was wonderful service and kind of her. I was very pleased. Helga gave very good information on things to do in the area and places to eat. The bed was one of the most comfortable we have had while traveling. Everything was clean and as stated in the listing. The bedroom and bathroom are upstairs if that is an issue but we were told this before we booked. Thanks for a lovely stay.

We had a lovely weekend at Virginia's apartment. The apartment is beautiful. Very clean. In addition we had very nice touches like small candies. In addition the bathrobes as well as the slippers are a very nice touch that gives a plus to this apartment the aloe vera bedding is exceptional. we slept really well

Very good stay in Fernanda's accommodation (clean, spacious, comfortable). We stayed there in April, we had to use the heating which works very well, for a stay in summer, air conditioning in each room would be useful, because currently it is only in the living room. I would recommned this property

We were a group of 3. We travel a lot and we really appreciated all of the thoughtful touches at Ana's place! We drove from Porto and arrived early and Ana was very flexible about allowing us to leave our bags earlier than the check in time. Of the Airbnbs in Portugal, this was our favorite. Do not expect modern decorations but you can count on many comforts that other Airbnbs do not have. Not only is fresh bread delivered each morning but Ana also stocked her kitchen with fresh fruit, milk, juice, sugar, honey, jams, plenty of coffee pods, and she stocked the refrigerator with cheese, eggs, beer, a bottle of wine. The place is very spacious and could have comfortably accommodated more than 3 people. There are cosy bathrobes in the closets, an extra blanket, slippers and plenty of outlets in the bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the balcony is so lovely and peaceful. If you come to Pinhao, I highly recommend Ana's place!

It was perfect, she was very attentive and flexible, she responded with agility and very proactive! It was very worth it, and we will definitely return!

This is a perfect place to go spend time with your loved ones. Away from cities and overall people. The house is cozy and has everything that you need and even more to make the stay memorable! Me and Henry loved being there and would have like to stay even more! Maria Celeste was very helpful to find us lost tourists from the mountains in darkness. And showed us the way to the cabin. Be aware that the road might not be for everyone to drive. But you can always leave the car up the hill and walk to the house. Ww would love to go back soon to the beautiful and adventurous place!

We just left the house and we already miss it. We spent a few very happy days, with very good weather, which allowed us to enjoy the pool to the fullest. The home is beautiful, decorated with simplicity and good taste and has everything we need for a fantastic holiday All the little issues we had were immediately resolved, there is no cause for complaint. Our b*****s also enjoyed a lot, delirious about the number of cats they saw around on other grounds. Beautiful sunrise, space to sit, read a book and see the Douro river, where we saw incredible boats pass. Super recommend this space and we have noted to go back even more days at the next opportunity. Thank you! It's a small paradise ❤️

The most beautiful house on a steep hillside with stunning views and only the sound of nature around. The house was excellently equipped with all you need to self cater and relax including bbq, pool with a view, fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom for each bedroom. Extra touches were the wood burner (we didn’t use as nice and warm but looked super cosy), the hanging chair (hit with teens) and early morning bakery service. Host was an excellent communicator, has great suggestions and runs this place like a second home he wants others to enjoy so feels like a true Airbnb vs a corporate capitalist platform. Highly recommend this place and great value when we visited in April.

Perfect jumping off point for Douro Valley. The house served our family of 5 well. We had a great experience with the property manager, Beatriz. She was very communicative and even helped us ship home a few items we left behind. Overall a great stay.

Cannot say enough about this place, its everything it says and lots more. The ladies that service the property along with preparing breakfasts were simply awesome. Aurora's chocolate cake was a hit, and we had it for dessert and breakfast! The location and views are postcard perfect and that comes with some nervous driving to get there, but once you know the quirks really not that bad, just be careful. Highly recommending this to friends that are planning a trip to this beautiful part of the world.

The host was very nice, flexible and helpful. He gave us great tips for interesting places, welcomed us, offered local wines and great port. The place had everything you needed, just a little cold, but that's to be expected in December. The location is amazing, would definitely recommend.

Lovely 2 night stay to break up a long motorhome tour of Portugal and Spain. Luís’s place was perfect for us and our two dogs. It’s set in beautiful countryside with lots of local walks. The house is quite remote but has everything you need and is very well maintained. Logs are provided for the wood burner which was an added bonus and a local baker delivered bread to our door. Luis was a very helpful and welcoming host. It was lovely place to stay. Thank you, Luís.

House in a quiet place, good for spending time with friends. In winter, sufficient heating in all rooms. The room could be a little bigger. Conversation with many people will have to be done in the kitchen or on the outside porch - which is nice. Mr. Julio is hospitable and ready to help if necessary.
