Guesthouse vacation rentals in Vila do Bispo

Alles bestens. Isilda ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist gut ausgestattet, das Bett bequem mit guter Matratze und Bettdecke. Die Lage, 10 Minuten vom Zentrum, auch mit dem Bus gut zu erreichen, nah zum herrlichen Bordeira-Strand. Ich würde sehr gerne wieder herkommen und dann wieder bei Isilda wohnen. Danke für den tollen Aufenthalt.

We (a couple) spent a great time in Figuera. The location is in a quiet village with the local beach within 20 minutes footwalk (no access with car). We had no car with us which required somewhat more flexibility with respect to the public transportation (only a couple of connections), but the bus schedule was quite reliable. After hiking the fishermens trail, we enjoyed the the relaxing atmosphere in the garden under the almond tree and received a lot of lemons from the tree in the garden.

We absolutely loved our stay. Inge and Theo have done a fantastic job at creating a little haven in the hills. Our accommodation was stylish and felt very in keeping with traditional Portuguese dwellings. The gardens included pomegranate, peppercorn, olive, orange, avocado and almond trees and a range of fresh herbs. Our villa had two terraces and it's own outdoor kitchen area (as well as a well equipped indoor kitchen) and easy access to a shared beautiful large stone swimming pool and sauna. There are around 4 other properties to stay at in the grounds and provision for camper vans. We didn't hire a car and found getting around easy. There are buses to Lagos every 30 minutes (on week days) from the local village which is a 20 minute walk and we walked to the beach which is around an hour away. Taxi's were relatively inexpensive. At the time of writing it would cost between 10 and 14 Euros from Lagos to the villa. Inge was always very helpful if we needed anything.

Literally everything was great - very clean accommodation, all amenities available, the incredibly beautiful guesthouse that constantly gave the impression that we were in a wonderland. Nienke always responded quickly to all our messages and was there when we needed her. We are very grateful to her for all the recommendations and help. We really felt like we stayed at our friends' house. If it were possible to give more than 5 stars to this place, I would gladly do so. We would love to come back here again!

Wir übernachteten Ende September 1 Woche bei Luisa und empfehlen die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall zu 100%. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gemütlich und komfortabel. Der Ort ist ruhig, sauber, mit einer schönen Terrasse und verfügt über alles Notwendige. Das Einzige was ich verbessern würde, ist der Druck des Wassers in der Dusche. Luisa und Ihre Eltern sind super nett und sehr hilfsbereite und freundliche Menschen. Kurz gesagt können wir die Unterkunft zu 100 % empfehlen. Vielen Dank an Luisa und ihre Eltern!

This was a lovely hostel in a perfect location. The beds were comfortable and spaced nicely in the room so it didn't feel cramped and there was space for all our hiking stuff. I particularly liked being provided with fresh towels as hostels usually don't offer them. It was well designed all round with a lovely terrace overlooking the village and where we would watch the sunset, as well as a well stocked kitchen with excellent free food box. I really enjoyed my stay, it was peaceful and relaxing and highly recommend Hostel do Mar.

Ein Hostel, wo keine Wünsche offen bleiben. Zimmer voll ok, alles noch sehr modern mit wenig Gebrauchsspuren, Küche top ausgestattet mit angrenzender Terrasse und Aufenthalt. Bierkühlschrank fürs Siegbier gegen Einwurf von Münzen :) und Yogamatten und Blöcke vorhanden. Besonders gefreut hat uns, wie mit Lebensmitteln umgegangen wird, die man nicht aufbrauchen aber auch eher schlecht auf einer Wanderung mitnehmen kann. Dafür gibt es im Kühlschrank und in der Küche extra free food Boxen, wo man für folgende Backpacker Essen hinterlassen kann. Super Idee. Gerne wieder!

Great location on the Rota Vicentina. Nice amenities, outdoor rooftop, yoga mat for stretching. Recommend!

We were really happy staying at this location!

Really nice little hotel-style room on a quiet street near old town. Bathroom was very modern. Jose was flexible with our check in and waited for us. Parking right out front, free all day when exploring city on foot from the hotel.

Foi impecável. Como estava imenso frio, o Cláudio teve o cuidado de deixar um aquecedor no quarto. Só faltaram 2 copos de vinho e gel de banho na wc. =P

Ich war mit meiner Familie zwei Wochen zu Gast bei Conny. Obwohl wir sehr spät angereist sind wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen! Wir hatten Tomaten Feigen Paprika vom hauseigenen Garten bekommen. Die Garten mit Pool waren sehr Groß und sehr gepflegt, optimal für unser beiden Jungs um zu spielen. Zudem ist eine Gasgrill sowie Holzkohlegrill verfügbar. Die Wohnung war super sauber und die Matratzen sehr angenehm. Die Lage ist sehr da man mit Auto viel verschieden Strände anfahren kann. Lagos ist ca. 10 min mit dem Auto super erreichbar.

The best spot we could’ve picked in Lagos! Everywhere was walkable from the home, we had no struggles getting around town or to the beaches. Great restaurants were right around every corner, though if we needed to uber anywhere it was no trouble at all. The hosts were very responsive and extremely friendly. Someone waited for us as we got there to show us the place and explain locking/unlocking the doors to the home. There was a guide book inside with things to do and recommended restaurants that came in handy. WiFi worked perfectly. We have nothing bad to say about this spot! If we ever return we hope to stay here again! *Note it was a tad musty due to the recent weather but there was a dehumidifier that was very helpful, we’d empty it out once a day or so once it was full. Also shower was a bit smaller but not an issue for us.

Wir hatten 2 schöne Wochen in der süßen Unterkunft von Laura. Man hat alles was man braucht und das Bett ist sehr gemütlich. Geweckt wird man von Vogelgezwitscher, Hahn Krähen und Sonne im Gesicht! Wir mochten die Natur um uns herum sehr, sowie die Stille und die Tiere :) Laura war super freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit! Wir können die Unterkunft sehr weiterempfehlen!

Ostello davvero molto accogliente e tranquillo, abbiamo dormito nella stanza famigliare e ci siamo trovati molto bene!

I had a great stay at Maria’s place in Lagos. The apartment was exactly as advertised — clean, comfortable and in a great location, close to everything I needed. Maria was a wonderful host: very friendly, welcoming and always quick to respond.

Super séjour chez Frank! Sa femme et ses filles ont été très accueillantes. Le logement était super et correspondait à nos attentes. Le rooftop pour regarder les étoiles était un vrai plus. Nous avons adoré la compagnie des animaux☺️ Petit bémol pour la douche, compliqué de régler la température de l’eau.
