We loved our holiday. We didn't do a great deal of exploring, just enjoyed the snow. There's enough of a hill immediatelyoutside the front door for a bit of sledging, and fantastic mountain views while in the hot tub.

Beautiful place to escape to enjoy nature. The cabin, hot tub, and sauna were lovely and we hope to stay here again soon. Highly recommend.

We had a great week with our two children in this beautiful house directly overlooking the fjord. It was very quiet and relaxing. The area is great and you can also start hiking directly from the house… we especially enjoyed the great pool!

Nina is a very lovely host. She responds immediately and helped us with finding activities and things to do in the area. She also invited us over for some mulled wine and prepared a bonfire for us. The view from the house is amazing, the interior is cosy, perfect for a cosy getaway

We absolutely loved our stay at this house! It's really new and spotless – everything feels fresh and well-maintained. The huge windows give you an amazing view of the lake, which is gorgeous. You really don't need to bring much with you because the house is fully equipped with everything you could want. It’s the ideal spot to relax, unplug, and enjoy some peace and quiet with nature right outside your door. The hot tub and sauna were fantastic – super clean and worked perfectly. Arne was really responsive and helpful whenever we had a question. We definitely recommend this place and are already planning our return trip!

Centrally located in the hawk for our stay. The house was equipped with everything we expected. Very good communication with host. Good heat from the wood when we arrived, so very good service 👍

Nina’s place was perfect for what we needed. The location was central to our needs. The house was clean and the snacks and wine left on the counter were an unexpected surprise. Nina and her partner made sure our stay was excellent. They gave local recommendations and supplied everything we needed. If we are ever back in the area, Nina’s place would be our first choice.

The captain's home was a perfect place to vacation with the family of 7. We were grandparents, children and grandchildren. In addition, there was room to get 5 more on a dinner visit around the large long table. The house was spacious and had its charm.

The time we spent in this place was wonderful. On the first day, we met Jenny, who told us what to expect in the area. We encountered a moose and organized a quick walk to the lake. A very pleasant detail was the small treats left by the owner. The following days were filled with family trips around the area, boating, campfires, and visits to the nearby town. Over these few days, we managed to relax, and we left the area with reluctance.

A pretty house near Solvorn and therefore the Ferry to visit the church of Urnes. The house is large and nice with a large garden and space to park. The nearby Spar is right next door for shopping! The washing machine and dryer are a real plus! Torger and Marthe are very responsive which is nice if we have a question!

The home was as the host described, with quiet surroundings with nice hiking opportunities and lovely animals in the courtyard. Host was easy to get in touch with and responded quickly to messages sent. We can safely recommend others to rent here.

We had a lovely stay at Hege’s house whilst visiting family. It is set in a rural location on a non-working farm, surrounded by fields. It has lovely views and is very peaceful. It is a short drive from Spydeberg where you can catch a direct train into Oslo and also find supermarkets and shops. It is a traditional Norwegian house and was spotlessly clean with everything we needed for our stay (towels, linen, kitchen items like dishwasher tablets and so on). Stephen and Hege made us very welcome, checking that we had everything we needed from time to time, whilst also giving us our privacy. Overall, a lovely place to stay and we could not rate the house or hosts more highly.

We had a great time staying in Hovet, the house is a great blend of old and new with some very cosy fires and wonderful views. Hæge was an excellent host and I felt as if she was genuinely interested in our visit and helping us get the best from the local area. Thanks very much!

Cozy cottage in quiet area. The kids liked the garden and the cottage had all the amenities we needed

A wonderful cottage with a successful mix of old and modern, very tastefully renovated and furnished with attention to detail. Piano and guitar in the living room and cheerfully clucking chickens (with breakfast eggs) and fluffy cats in the garden! We immediately felt very comfortable and would be happy to come back. A clear recommendation for a relaxing vacation. The surroundings invite you to many outdoor activities, especially on, above and in the water.

An ideal location for families with kids. We greatly enjoyed the large yard, the trampoline and the proximity to the beach. Next time we would just like to stay longer.

Three of us stayed in this cute little house for only a night as we wanted to start a kayaking trip the next day. Check-In instructions were easy to follow, the house was clean and comfortable for our short stay. It's really private and quiet right next to the water which is really lovely. If you plan on staying longer, just know that there isn't a shower and you have to use own bedding or sleeping bag.
