Barn vacation rentals in Viken

So lucky we stumbled upon this gem of a place just outside lovely and historical Rjukan! We had 5 amazing days with the kids at Monica and Jan-Tore's beautiful farm over Easter. They were so welcoming and sociable, and our 4 year old became best friends with their son in an instant, playing both outside and up in his very cool play attic :-) Our daughter even got to join him for Easter egg decorations, using handpicked eggs from the farm. The cabin was super cosy, but also very spacious. Loved that it had all the features of a 100+ year old building. Spending hours playing with the baby goats was another highlight, as well as exploring the land around the farm, searching for fresh eggs in the barn or just playing on the grass between the farm buildings. We also visited Gaustadtoppen , Vemork and Rjukan town. There's plenty to do in the area and a lot of breathtaking Norwegian nature to take in. The mountain range in the are is incredible. Can't wait to come back! :D

If you have fallen over this cabin, please turn on. We found peace and quiet in the nice cabin that we can definitely recommend. The surroundings are magical whether the sun is shining or the clouds drift past the windows. We saw reindeer and sea eagles and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere inside and out.

The house is amazing. Location is great, well connected, restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets at walking distance. The house itself is super cute, with all the necessary kitchen appliances and just big enough for someone to stay there for a couple of days of for a longer period (like I did). The hosts were responsive, kind and understanding. I highly recommend it.

Great place to find a peace in the nature! Super clean and very nice owner. Sauna was best.

Was back in Jorunn's apartment for second gong, and framleis just as great there! Nice apartment with good parking Good internet and otherwise well equipped apartment. Feel free to come back 😊

❤️What can I say? I have stayed in AirBnB accommodations many times before, but this one, from the soooooo lovely Laila, surpasses everything! It started with the fact that we only arrived at 3:30 AM and Laila got up especially for us to welcome us personally. Then there's the fact that Leila was really always there and took care of us. Be it to ask if everything is OK, or give us tips for excursions, or or or. I was there with my parents and my little son (3 years old) and the place was a dream for my little darling🙃. It really had everything for him, from the climbing frame, to the playhouse to the sandbox. Laila had even organized Lego bricks🙃. And the highlight was of course the horses🙃. From feeding to bringing them to the stable in the evening, it was an absolute highlight for my little man🙃. We liked it so much that we booked the last night again with Laila at the end of the trip🙃.❤

"Kohti" - A perfect place for a small "getaway" with everything you could want- your own jaquzzi, sauna, outdoor shower and a great setting. Clean and pleasantly decorated. Thanks for us!

We had a great time. The hosts are very accommodating and friendly, very pleasant environment. Fantastic cabin. Definitely recommend, suitable as a base for day trips in the Oslo area.
