This is the perfect place for whoever who wants to isolate from all forms of media and just enjoy the amazing mountains, waterfalls and rivers all day long. The cabin is at Engi, 4km from Fresvik in the western part of Norway. The cabin is original from the 19th century, but renovated in year 2000. There is no electricity or water at the cabin. Fire-pit. gas oven and eco-toilet. Along with the cabin, there is a beautiful "bathhouse" with fire pit, hot tub and barbecue. 7days = 30% discount

Gammalt koseleg tømmer hus frå 1835. Renovert i 2014, nytt bad, nytt kjøkken, hems med 2 senger og eit soverom med dobbelseng. Stova har me beholdt i gammal stil. Huset ligg på eit gardsbruk der det er sauehold. Flott plass viss du ønsker rolege omgivelser . Me har katt på gården. Fin utsikt over Sognefjorden. Ca 1,5 km til nærbutikk.(man-fre 11-1730 lør 10-14 Feios er ei lita bygd som ligg 2 mil frå Vik. Mange fine turmuligheter. Du har naturen rundt deg . Kan gå fjelltura frå døra.

Relax with the whole family in this peaceful place! Comfortable cabin in Vik in Sogn for rent (built in 2023). Close to both fjord and mountains. 1 hour drive from Voss, about 10 minutes to idyllic Vikøyri by the Sognefjord. About 15 minutes to Vikafjell with great hiking opportunities the whole year. Also nice hiking opportunities in the immediate vicinity. Beautiful view in quiet surroundings. Fire pit and trampoline (in the summer months). Road right up to the door. Welcome!

Perfektes Haus für eine Auszeit vom Alltag. Super Anbindung. Wir haben die Aussicht geliebt und mussten die Sessel umdrehen um den ganzen Tag rausschauen zu können. Privater Zugang zum Fjord für Angler oder auch zum Baden. Vollständig ausgestattet mit allem was man brauch. Sogar Holz für den Kamin war vorhanden. Wirklich einfach nur perfekt und eine absolute Empfehlung.

Nice apartment - and relatively convenient location, provided you have a car. The entrance to the apartment was very temporary because of works outside the house - and the door had to be lifted in place as a workman had not arrived earlier in the day. This caused some inconvenience. The owner was very apologetic about this, though, and we had great communication.

Heerlijke dagen hebben we met vier vriendinnen hier doorgebracht. Het huis ligt werkelijk aan een magnifiek stuk van de fjord. Het is er zo rustig. Naar de natuur rondom kan je blijven kijken, zo mooi. Het huis is zeer gezellig ingericht. De terrassen rondom het huis geven elk uur van de dag de gelegenheid om buiten te zijn. Genoeg plaats en bezigheden om je geen seconde te vervelen. We hebben dan ook met een beetje hartenpijn deze mooie plaats achter gelaten.

Gjertrud's place is really cool. It is very remote and very primitive. There isn't really electricity and no running water like she says. Its basically glamping. But the drive out to the place is breathtaking and the views are incredible. I would definitely go back but you just have to be ready for a true outdoor adventure. If you want to get away from it all this is the place.

We spent 2 nights at the cabin. We chose it as our base to explore Flam area, and although it is located 90 min from Flam we have no regrets. The cabin is very clean, nicely decorated and has wonderful views of Sognefjord. The drive to the closest supermarket is 10 min. While in Flam we took a boat ride along Naeroyfjord with Fjordsafari company which was great (somehow nicer than the Geiranger one), , took the train ride to Myrdal, then the zipline and then took the bikes back to Flam. We would stay again at Rune’s cabin if we visited the area.
