Family-friendly vacation rentals in Venice

This is a really nice place in a calmer and more “local” location of Venice. The views are fantastic of the water, canal, and a gondoliering school outside. Lots of great restaurants nearby with IMO the best views of Venice. Those who know how NJ has the best views of NYC would understand. Be careful coming back from the main island later in the evening as the Vaparettos don’t run the same routes as during the day.

Alessandro was a great host. He was very responsive, proactively communicated and made our stay stress free and enjoyable. Apartment is located close to the train station but also in the heart of all the activities. Alessandro was very kind and he let us check in early in unbearable heat. I would highly recommend this place.

Alessia was our host and she was great. She did a nice job communicating with us and was very friendly. She met us at the apartment to give us our keys and to show us around the apartment. She also booked a water taxi for us at the end of our stay to take us to the airport. The kitchen was well equipped. It had an espresso machine with some espresso cartridges for our use. There was also a bottle of bubbly and a large pack of cookies waiting for us when we arrived. The apartment had a beautiful view of the canal and was in a nice neighborhood. It was in a great location with a short walk to all the major attractions. The bed was very comfortable. There was plenty of storage space. The bathroom was nice. We stayed in several hotels and other Airbnb’s during our vacation and this apartment was our favorite place to stay.

It was a pleasure to stay with Viorica once more. The third floor flat has a wonderful terrace with a retractable awning that provides full cover. We had lunch and drinks on our own terrace every day. Viorica is a lovely person who takes pride in ensuring all is perfect and you have a great stay. My wife has brilliant chat with Viorica, practising her Italian language skills. We visit a lot of local restaurants, with fabulous food on offer. The location is very good and easy to use as a central point to allow walking to all the areas. We have visited Venice on many occasions and confirm that this is the best apartment ever, we look forward to returning in the future. Marc and Elizabeth’s space is spacious and beautiful. The kitchen and bathrooms are tidy and well equipped, and the beds are comfortable for sure, but the inspiring design is what should compel you to book. All the details make it feel very special from the terrazzo floors, to the textiles, to the thoughtful lighting. My teenaged sons will forever remember lounging in that gorgeous living room, playing chess while Gilberto Gil and John Coltrane play softly on CD in the background. Cannaregio is a perfect place to stay — away from the most crowded areas but still accessible to everything . For reference, we were able to walk to the Maritime museum on the opposite side of Venice in 30 minutes. Elizabeth was kind and her dining recommendations were spot on.

Perfect Location!!! We enjoyed our stay at Venice at Lucia and Chiara's lovely homey apartment! The location is perfect as it is at the heart of Venice, next to Rialto bridge, water bus stop, great restaurants and shops, and close to all the other attractions. Lucia provided detail and easy directions and instructions of the apartment and always quick to respond. Apartment is very spacious for us family of 4, canal view from the second bedroom, well stocked kitchen, and very clean bathroom! Highly recommended!

The apartment was perfect for us.. spotlessly clean, spacious and the location fabulous. Lisa (who I assume is Gabriella's daughter or business partner) met us for check in and was really friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. I have no hesitation in recommending this place!

Beautiful apartment giving a glimpse of what it’s like to live in Venice. Everything was exactly as described, we loved the decor and the canal view from the windows. Comfy bed (and sofa bed), hot water and well equipped kitchen. Easy to find with Google maps location. Plenty of local bars and restaurants close by and only a short walk to public transport. Irene’s communication was excellent throughout. Would highly recommend.

Morena has had outstanding communication from day 1! And it was so nice to meet in person to show us everything! Morena was so thoughtful, helpful and kind. Her apt was perfect! Great bed! Great AC! Very quiet! Great shower! Felt very safe! Close to everything we wanted to see & do. It was so nice to come “home” after a long day site seeing! Grazie!

Lovely stay and great host

We really enjoyed our stay. Nicole’s place was comfortable, clean and located in a quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. Nicole was a fantastic host and super helpful and accommodating. We would highly recommend this place to all!

Luca and Marco were amazing hosts! Marco met us at the Waterbus and brought us to the apartment, showed us how everything worked and we settled in nicely! The hosts went above and beyond! Especially when it came to my large luggage, Marco would not take no for an answer and carried my suitcase up all their steps. Luca was fantastic in helping us with different transportation, local recommendations, and quickly answered us with any questions we had about Venice or the apartment. The location is perfect! Quaint, quiet, clean and located near incredible sights and restaurants. We highly recommend, and had a very memorable trip! Thank you Luca and Marco!

Aglaia’s apartment is beautiful! It is in a wonderful location: very near restaurants, a grocery store, banking, and walkable from the train station. She is a wonderful host who gave us personalized recommendations for fun things to do with our young children and kept in touch with us throughout the stay. I highly recommend this apartment!

Jacopo's place looks just like in the pictures. The location is within a short walk from the St Lucia train station, which is very convenient so you don't have to drag your suitcases across many bridges. The area is just off a busy street but quiet, which is great. It is so easy to walk to various areas in Venice. There are several restaurants nearby right on the canal that have really good food at reasonable prices. The apartment is nicely decorated, bed is comfortable, kitchen and bathroom are very nice, clean and have everything we needed. Jacopo is super friendly and always responsive. He even went out of his way to help me with translating a document. His place was perfect for my trip with my daughter. Highly recommend Jacopo's place!

The host was always available for questions and very helpful. Loved the peaceful rooftop patio in the heart of old Venice. What a treat!

The palace is by far the single nicest accommodation with a reasonable nightly rate. Short walking distance to the train station, saving boat aggravation & cost. Hosts are superb, responsive, welcoming, warm & extremely gracious. We were welcomed into the home with a smile & open arms, accompanied by a short tour of the property. The palace was custom built & has a beautiful history future guests should consider researching. Marble floors, gorgeous woodwork & craftsmanship throughout the home, adorned with a private patio. Private dock access. Plenty of hot water, well maintained fixtures, antique chandeliers, comfortable beds, luxurious drapery & many fine tuned welcoming accents throughout. Fragrant fresh flowers on the patio. Immaculately clean!! Spacious. Secure. Great location. We felt safe & relaxed. I cooked my own meals & the kitchen was well equipped. Dishwasher was super nice. I will definitely stay here again. Ty for a lovely stay!! Don’t forget to sign the guestbook!

Tomasso provided a video of how to get to his place from the ferry over from the airport which was extremely helpful. Area close to restaurants and walking distance to train station, rialto snd St marks. we appreciated the cold water left in the fridge for our arrival and the coffee. All good and as described. Beautiful home, in a great location. Quiet, safe and clean. The bed was very comfortable.

Lovely place. I would return to this apartment. we loved being close to Lido and the Beaches, as well as being tucked within a neighborhood. It's a short walk to two grocery stores, several restaurants, close to several canals.

We absolutely loved our stay at Jerome and Catherine’s. We loved the quiet neighborhood, the canal views in front and garden views in back. It was so wonderful to come back to this quiet neighborhood after a long day of sightseeing. I would definitely stay here again.

excellent top floor apartment. yes, it's up 4 very long flights of stairs but that was made clear before booking. very quiet. very clean. easy to get in and out and to many nearby places. grocery store around the corner. 10 min walk to San Marco square. host even help set up a water taxi when there was a transportation strike. The bed was very firm. ended up putting the comforter under me instead of on top. overall very wonderful stay.

The apartment has been the best I've had on Airbnb. Clean and very great central yet good location. Federica was super friendly, proactive and helpful. We were able to check in earlier and check out later. Thanks a lot!

We had a great stay in the apartment which was in a great location, close to shops and restaurants but also very quiet at night. It was very clean, had a great shower and very comfortable bed - couldn’t ask for more! Would definitely recommend.
