Villa vacation rentals in Vathianos Kampos

Overall, we felt very comfortable, were always well looked after and the apartment met our expectations. You have to know that in the evening hours one or the other plane also flies to Heraklion. A small supermarket is directly on site and a 2-minute walk away. Otherwise, a quick shopping or eating out by public transport is not so easy without a rental car. By car, everything is no problem in five minutes in a wide selection. The view and the apartment is very good. Swimming on site on foot in five minutes very possible below the apartment. This one was much more generous than expected. Overall, we will be happy to come back.

Elini's villa is absolutely beautiful, very clean, exactly as described, and easy to get to from the airport! Elini is a fantastic host, she helped us arrange taxis throughout the week to various places and was always quick to respond to messages! I had messaged Elini to let her know our flight had been pushed back and we weren't due to land until past midnight, Elini went out of her way to make sure we had some fresh fruit, bread, juice and water so that we could have breakfast as the supermarkets would have been closed when we got there. Unfortunately we had a Saharan sand storm during our stay however Elini and her family came the following day to remove the orange residue and spent the entire day cleaning to make sure we had somewhere we could relax. I would 100% recommend booking Elini's place if you are looking for somewhere quiet and beautiful to relax!!

What a wonderful experience we had here! Xristos and his family went above and beyond to accommodate us and their hospitality was impeccable- we felt like family. We are a family of 5 - including a baby and Xristos made sure so provide a crib, a bed rail, children’s toys for our girls and a lovely welcome basket with goodies. He was extremely helpful when it came to local recommendations. We would recommend this home to anyone and would definitely stay again.

Stayed with a group of friends for a week and had a great time. Faidra was quick to respond and proactive throughout our stay, providing all sorts of helpful recommendations. The villa was spacious with a great pool and barbecue ready to roll. It’s located in a quiet area so you’ll need a car, although within walking distance you can get to a few local shops, a lovely taverna, an olive oil mill (would recommend a tasting) and, if you want to give the driver a day off, a winery about half an hour hike away. All told, was a great base for exploring this part of Crete and fantastic value.

Wow ! Wow ! Wow Just don't know where to start. From the minute that we arrived everything was perfect. Thanos was by far the best host that we have ever had. The swimming pool was the cleanest and best maintained that we have ever come across on our travels. Can not believe how quickly Thanos responded to an issue with leaking washing machine with brand new one delivered and fitted within 12 hours. We where in Crete for our friends daughters wedding and asked Thanos for recommendations for local hairdresser. He told us most where closed on Mondays but went above and beyond to find one in Heraklion , booked appointment and arranged a taxi to take us. Can not recommend this villa highly enough. Outstanding!! 10 STAR rating for Thanos and his amazing cat Nicos. We would not hesitate in returning.

Excellent experience! The house was spotless, comfortable and very welcoming. The location is quiet and ideal for relaxation, with absolute privacy. I would choose it again without a second thought!

Georges was very welcoming from the moment we arrived and was available by message throughout our stay, which made our organization much easier. Communication was smooth, fast and efficient, whether for check-in, checkout or to answer any questions we may have. The accommodation was perfectly as described and shown in the listing photos: clean and well-equipped.

The apartment was exactly as described. The pool and the house are very nice. All air conditioners work smoothly, which means it's not too hot in the house. The outdoor area is very good for relaxing. Beach and restaurants are not too far away and within walking distance if necessary, but I would recommend a car.

We have just had the most gorgeous family holiday at Villa Belle Helene . It is the perfect villa equipped to the highest standards both inside and out and exceeded all our expectations. Inside is spacious and all the rooms have excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor areas, especially the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect to cool down in the heat and to enjoy. The sheltered area outside the lounge is perfect for eating and BBQs and the raised outdoor seating area with TV provides the opportunity to unwind in an evening. It is 10 mins walk up to Old Hersonnissus which has a lovely square with Tavernas and bars. Hiring a car is worthwhile to explore the island further but not essential as its easy to book taxis. Eleni and her family are absolutely lovely, they could not be more helpful and made us so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would love to stay again if we go back to Crete.

We were welcomed by Anastasia who was exceptionally kind. The villa was superb, the place was very clean and an agent even came to clean the barbecue and pool during our stay. We had a lovely stay at this beautiful place. Thank you again to Anastasia for all the answers to our questions and her great kindness.

We had a wonderful holiday. The villa is lovely and was perfect for a big family. Audrey is a great host who was so helpful throughout but especially with the challenges of the late arrival and checkout. Location is great and facilities were also great and exceeded expectations. A special mention for Wayne (the handyman), he took care of the garden, pool etc and is a bit of a legend👏. We would definitely look to book here again.

Giorgos was a great host. Flexible with our demands and very responsive whenever we had any issues. For example, we had a hot water problem, which he resolved quickly after we informed him. The villa is very beautiful with a 360 view of Heraklion and the surrounding area. It has a great living room space for social gatherings, outside tables for dining and a grill. The kitchen was also well equipped with a large fridge+freezer, dish washer, microwave oven and gas hobs. The gym was well equipped and the swimming pool water was very clean. There was a washing machine with a lot of drying space. Several of the rooms have private bathrooms. The villa was not easily reachable by foot but that is the case for most places on Crete. It had however plenty of parking space and remotely operated gates. We didn't try the jacuzzi so can't comment on that and the piano was locked. Overall our stay was amazing, we're very happy and would recommend Giorgos as a host :)

One of the best stays in airbnb over the years. Perfect place for staying with kids, lots of toys and everything. Our 3 year old son was really enjoyed. Giannis and Mara were really helpful about everything. They booked us transfer from airport for late night arrival and booked us a rental car for the next morning which we picked up at the door of the villa! This was one of the easiest and convenient option. I left my sunglasses at the rental car, they found it and will send me by shipping. Best hosts and best place to stay! Hope to meet you again.

We had a fantastic time. The villa is stunning and had just been freshly renovated. Everything about it is designed to maximize the beautiful views, the airflow, peace and tranquility. The hosts were communicative, kind and generous with flexible check-in and out. The fantastic pool area, stonework, bathrooms, kitchen, linens, sauna/steamroom, washer & dryer, game room -- all were top quality. This was easily the most beautiful AirBnb we have ever stayed in. It was a good home base for exploring Crete. We were also happy to save one day for relaxing at the villa. We were only a family of four, and the villa could have easily held twice as many. Would love to return one day. Made wonderful memories here.

Our stay here was excellent- the villa was perfect - with great open plan kitchen , dining and lounge areas . Bedrooms were comfortable with air conditioning in all but one . The pool was perfect - good size and great temperature. There was a variety of balconies to use which meant you were not on top of each other . There were ample towels and lots of crockery and cutlery which meant you did not have to put the dishwasher on after every meal ! Easy walk to the beach and local bars and into the small town. Good location for sight seeing and lots to do and see within an easy 20 min drive - can highly recommend. Welcome food parcel was so appreciated and a lovely touch .

The house has everything you need to spend a stay away from mass tourism while being close to everything: two restaurants in the center of the village 3 min walk, two small grocery stores 5 min walk that have all the basic products for cooking, large supermarket and sandy beaches 10 min drive. The village is peaceful, the house stays cool despite the heat, the outdoor spaces are as shown in the photos, the beds are comfortable. We had a great time and communication with the host was very simple and responsive. Recommended! Just one thing to keep in mind with small children or reduced mobility: all bedrooms are upstairs and the stairs are narrow.

This was the most beautiful place our family has ever stayed and the best airbnb experience we've ever had! It was great for a family vacation and the villa was equipped with everything we needed. Kostas went above and beyond with everything - his mother came and cooked a Cretan meal for us on our first night, there was a homemade Greek cake, wine, and eggs. We recieved fresh eggs and more wine (made at the villa!) every few days, as well as more towels. We truly couldn't have asked for anything better - there was even a couple local cats who we managed to persuade to come say hi. This is THE place to stay!
