Family-friendly vacation rentals in Vathianos Kampos

We were eight women who spent a week at Villa Rodea. Had an amazing time, the view is wonderful and we had an uncomplicated care by the Komos team. We'll be back.

We have just had the most gorgeous family holiday at Villa Belle Helene . It is the perfect villa equipped to the highest standards both inside and out and exceeded all our expectations. Inside is spacious and all the rooms have excellent air conditioning which was very welcome in the heat. We spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoor areas, especially the pool and jacuzzi which were perfect to cool down in the heat and to enjoy. The sheltered area outside the lounge is perfect for eating and BBQs and the raised outdoor seating area with TV provides the opportunity to unwind in an evening. It is 10 mins walk up to Old Hersonnissus which has a lovely square with Tavernas and bars. Hiring a car is worthwhile to explore the island further but not essential as its easy to book taxis. Eleni and her family are absolutely lovely, they could not be more helpful and made us so welcome. We would absolutely recommend this villa and would love to stay again if we go back to Crete.

The house is beautiful (just like the photos) and the pool is awesome — it’s heated just enough to make it enjoyable all day. The space was perfect for my party of 12, plenty of space for everyone. What really makes this place stand out is Celine, who meets guests on arrival. We had a health emergency when we arrived, and Celine was just incredible — driving us to a clinic, helping us get care at the hospital when we had to go there, checking in with us about our child’s health everyday. We are eternally grateful for her!

Very high class Villa, if you are looking for quality accommodation then look no further. My family consisted of 7 adults and an 18 month old, stayed for 8 days. Everyone loved it. There is a great traditional taverna only 10 minutes walk away, a big supermarket 15 mins by car and great beach again just 15 mins by car. We were there in May, spend most of the time around the pool and firing up the fantastic BBQ!

We had a wonderful stay here. Very peaceful. Often all you will hear are the bells clanging from the local goats. Delicious food at the onsite taverna. Beautiful lodge, with special touches such as a bottle of wine waiting for us to congratulate us on our wedding. Of note, this villa is very high up in the mountains. If you're flying into heraklian airport that evening, it's a long and dark drive up some very narrow and winding roads, so you may want to make the drive in the daytime. It's about an hour drive up/down the mountain to any other town so be prepared to drive. But the scenery is beautiful...majestic mountains.

Anestis was extremely helpful and pleasant and the place is amazing! Great view and sound of the water which was very relaxing. Close to a great beach town which was walkable.

We had a great week of family at the Promachon Villa. The villa is very big and specious, highky maintained very well eqipped. Stella and her husband were really great hosts. They responded very fast to any request we had. The swimming pool is rather big and lovely. The house is located on an isolayed and quiet area 10-12 minutes drive from the city center. On behalf of all 13 members of the Zakay family I would like to thank you Stella for giving us such an incredible family vacation. We would really love to come back again. Ef christo Stella!🙂

we had a lovely week at Maria's place. The covered terrace is the most beautiful room in the house with beautiful sea views. The beach is less than 5 minutes' walk, but beware, for people who have difficulty walking, the slope is rather steep to climb. Maria is very responsive and responds very quickly to messages. Agia Pelagia remains a small seaside resort in a great location for visiting the north of the island. Beautiful discovery

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

We had a great stay here. The apartment was super clean and was exactly as described. We had a rental car and were able to find some street parking close by. It was quiet at night and had no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend.

This was our 4th stay at Giannis' place and as always it was perfect. The property is exactly as pictured and described, so comfortable, with amazing outdoor space and everything you need (great WiFi, smart TV, great shower, plenty of towels and bed linen, etc). The outdoor space is the major selling point, with lots of different relaxing areas, plenty of shade, and a fabulous pool. And stunning views to boot! Agios Myron is a lovely little town: if you go please make sure to visit the local bar, restaurant, bakery and shop, all run by lovely people. Looking forward to returning again next year!

We just loved everything about this airbnb!!!!! The house was AMAZING, incredible views, incredible features, we went to the pool, did barbecue, breakast with ocean view, everything and more we expected! Konstations is THE BEST host we ever got!! Not only he was hiper reactive, attentious ( he made sure to got us on the airport so we arrive well, his mom cooked us food because they would imagine we would arrive late and hungry), incredibly generous and nice!! We have many tips and support during the full trip ! Everything and more that we expected! Thank you again

My family had the best time at Alexanderos place. I am a remote worker and so was the perfect quiet environment to work while watching my daughter have a great time in the pool. the house is spotlessly clean, as is the pool and Alexanderos really cares that you are having a good experience. You can tell this buisness means a lot to him. A little ginger and white cat came to visit us every day for 10 min. My daughter is cat crazy and so that little guy made her holiday. If you see him give him a snack 🥰 You need a car to stay here really, but that is part of the beauty of the villa. You're remote, quiet and private. Exactly what we wanted. However if you want to go out, youre 10-15 min drive from some great beach restaurants. I suppose, if you're happy to stay in and relax, you could manage not having a car but we like to get out and about. Overall an absolute excellent place and im so glad we chose Alexanderos' place over other options!

Kostis’ apartment is cozy, clean and extremely well located. The terrace is spectacular, offering great views of the ocean and an amazing sunset. We truly appreciated Kostis’ hospitality, always one step ahead of our needs with timely communication and great local recommendations.

The place was simply amazing. Quiet, clean and beautiful. A nice pool and a beautiful big garden made the experience even better. Furthermore, Kostantinos was one of the most hospitable hosts I ‘ve ever had. Always responsive and helpful no matter the time. We would always come back and we recommend the place without any hesitation!

Overall, we felt very comfortable, were always well looked after and the apartment met our expectations. You have to know that in the evening hours one or the other plane also flies to Heraklion. A small supermarket is directly on site and a 2-minute walk away. Otherwise, a quick shopping or eating out by public transport is not so easy without a rental car. By car, everything is no problem in five minutes in a wide selection. The view and the apartment is very good. Swimming on site on foot in five minutes very possible below the apartment. This one was much more generous than expected. Overall, we will be happy to come back.

The apartment is cute but was still big enough for the two of us =) Very nicely furnished and there was everything you could ever need. Location is perfect, lots of ways to shop or eat well. The pool is right next to the apartment. Absolute secret place. It's only a 5-minute walk to the beach. Perfect vacation spot!

The best, most luxe Airbnb experience! 🥹 From the epic views and immaculate landscaping (with butterflies everywhere!) to the private pool + tennis court to the incredible suite with comfortable bed, spacious / modern living + kitchen spaces and endless amenities. This place has it all and is in absolute paradise. We were at peace the whole time. We loved the outdoor shower, free laundry, local village bakeries / cafes & restaurants, total privacy, local provided olive oil (made by the host!), and friendly hosts. Classy Villa, hosted by Emmanuel and Yannis is a bountiful house. The ground floor bedrooms and bathroom and beautifully appointed and easy access. The second floor kitchen and sitting area are equally lovely and calm the kitchen spills on to the terrace. The pool ans gardens are lovely and perfect for kids as it’s enclosed and the pool Shallow. A very lovely home perfect for kids as the road is quiet. The village centre has great restaurants at good prices. Well worth the easy stroll.

Wow ! Wow ! Wow Just don't know where to start. From the minute that we arrived everything was perfect. Thanos was by far the best host that we have ever had. The swimming pool was the cleanest and best maintained that we have ever come across on our travels. Can not believe how quickly Thanos responded to an issue with leaking washing machine with brand new one delivered and fitted within 12 hours. We where in Crete for our friends daughters wedding and asked Thanos for recommendations for local hairdresser. He told us most where closed on Mondays but went above and beyond to find one in Heraklion , booked appointment and arranged a taxi to take us. Can not recommend this villa highly enough. Outstanding!! 10 STAR rating for Thanos and his amazing cat Nicos. We would not hesitate in returning.
