This house with its rustic exterior opens the doors of Quinta dos Carqueijais. It is the first villa in a circuit of 6 villas with direct access to the dam, a private jetty and a wellness area with jacuzzi, sauna and heated swimming pool. Repurposed from an old house, it is a landmark in the architectural genetics of Gerês. It has a suite and two bedrooms. Casa da Oliveira (Casa das Oliveiras-G. Maps) is close to the village of Mesão-Frio (+/- 2 km), the gateway to Douro Vinhateiro. An old house, prior to 1950, was restored and maintains some of the original stone walls. It has 1 bedroom, a toilet, a living room with a sofa bed and an equipped kitchen, AC, TV, Wi-Fi and a barbecue grill outside. The views are magnificent over the region's vineyards and the Douro River. Excellent choice for a few days of rest, a week or a weekend.
