This is an amazing B & B and place to stay. We came to Teglio to follow up on a genealogy quest, and found many answers, all of which were assisted by Lucia and her husband Aurelio. Nothing was too much trouble for them: telephone inquiries, contact with the local priest and authorities and lovely ambient walks around the town and to old ancestral vines and homes. Contact was actually made with an ancestor! It was truly amazing. Teglio itself is a quaint, beautiful town, filled with historical buildings; Palazzo Beste, and the Biblioteca and the town church Chiesa di Sant'Eufemia, all beautifully preserved, and boasts many bars, for that quick Machiatto, or the many restaurants, to sample the authentic Pizzoccheri, buckwheat pasta, with potato, cheese, cabbage and crunchy garlic. One of our favourite restaurants was AlTiglia. Lucia’s B & B was amazing. It was her husband Aurelio’s ancestral home of over 1,000 years of age. The home was very inviting and the rooms are in the style of ‘a county theme’ with all the mod cons: modern hot shower, warm central heating (we even had light snow one night), we had our own little kitchen and the old stone brick of the home was beautiful. You can live quite separately, having an entrance that is fully accessed any time of the night. The town is very safe to walk through, even at night, and the electronic gate at the B &B provides a safe park for a car. The breakfasts were wonderful. Lucia bakes her own cakes, goes to the bakery every morning for fresh bread and rolls and asks you what you want for breakfast. Our choice, of bacon and eggs, was cooked each morning. Cereals, juice, jams, local honey and cakes provided something for everyone. Lucia and Aurelio, are a happy and very friendly couple. We were made to feel at home, and it certainly was a lovely home. They both show that having a B & B is a pleasure for them to have and to provide a wonderful experience. We certainly had that. Thank you Lucia and Aurelio for having us in your home and we will certainly return!

What a great place to stay! Conveniently located to all the attractions and the railway. Christina is a very warm and helpful host. She recommended two great restaurants; made a booking on our behalf and also arranged a taxi. She made our stay personal and very easy. Highly recommend.

I feel so lucky to have chosen this place! It’s absolutely beautiful — the space feels like a museum with its unique decor and peaceful atmosphere. Maria is such a wonderful and kind host; she made me feel truly at home. Breakfast was delicious — she prepares it herself with so much care and love. Every morning felt like a special experience. The house is clean and cozy, and Maria’s hospitality made my stay unforgettable. I would definitely come back and recommend it ♥️♥️

i have been on vacation in northern Italy for 5 years and this is one of the best B&B I have found here: a small piece of jewelry with great views of the roofs of Ponte in Valtellina and the mountains, magnificent surroundings and friendly people in the village. Norma is a great hostess: always easy to reach, helpful and she provides guests with fresh fruit, drinks and pastries from the region every day - very tasty everything! Thank you, we felt very comfortable!

I was at the "farm Belotti" on the weekend of December 14 with my 10-year-old. The services offered, the location and the kindness of the owners were greater than expected. We enjoyed the spa in an exclusive way with a prosecco aperitif and soft drink for the little girl accompanied by cheeses and charcuterie. The dinner two first and sweet portions plentiful because we were already satiated with the aperitif. Great breakfast, cozy room, very clean and warm . Beautiful location and village about 3 km from Pontedilegno. I will definitely suggest this place to friends and family !!

Lori made our first trip to Italy totally amazing. She helped me trace family relatives that I never knew existed. Nothing was too much to ask. She always greeted us with a warm smile and lots of enthusiasm. Google Translator worked a charm to bridge the language gap. Lori's local knowledge was a real asset in seeing the real side of Tirano. My partner and I had already stayed with Matteo and Francesca, and we were sure of the quality and kindness, so we wanted to come back and our expectations were widely met. Keep it up!

A place with a beautiful mountain view.

I only needed to stay one night, and it was perfect for me.

My first time in Italy, and I was incredibly lucky to stumble upon this hidden gem nestled in nature, at the foot of the mountains. What made this two-day stay truly memorable, though, were the people (and Eva, the sweet little dog). They welcomed me with warmth and unmatched hospitality. I felt instantly at home. We shared stories, laughs, enjoyed a meal together... they left me with a lasting impression of kindness. As for the place itself, it was a dream. Clean, peaceful, with the gentle sound of the river and bird songs weaving through the trees. The interior of the baita had a rustic charm that made it feel incredibly cozy. The bed was also very comfortable, and the heated blanket kept me warm both nights. I only wish I could’ve stayed longer, but the road was calling. 'Til next time, mille grazie!

Superlative stay! Completely immersed in greenery... the right place to relax and enjoy nature, away from the noise of the city. Everything was perfect, we will definitely be back 😊 We were in the car and it was easy to get around the neighboring towns. I highly recommend visiting Grosio, a very nice town to spend a quiet afternoon or evening.

We travel often with our furry friend so finding places where our doggy is also welcome is something we are very grateful for. But with Cristina not only our furry friend was welcome but we felt at home at all times. She is a beautiful human being who puts a lot of love into everything. For example when serving breakfast. The place is very central and close to many places to start nice walks or hikes. You can also walk to many restaurants nearby.

We stayed for one night at Paola's place after spending a day at the thermal baths of San Pellegrino. The place was clean, heated, and cozy. We had a great night's sleep and a really spectacular view the next day. I recommend it warmly

We stayed at Villa Marguarita's B&B for two nights. That was enjoyable! The room is beautifully decorated with a combination of wood, glass and concrete. Everything finished with the utmost perfection. A true design dream for lovers of sleek and very comfortable design. The sauna is also delicious. Breakfast is fantastic with local fresh produce and crispy fresh bread, baked by Robert himself. Lovely people who take good care of you. Excellent tips for good restaurants (a lot in the village) and beautiful walks. We would love to come again!

Gianna was very nice and approachable. New, clean, and functional place to stay. Very convenient to visit the surrounding area. Good and plentiful homemade breakfast. Recommended!!

The location was great, very warm welcome from Morena. The room was beautiful, spacious parking,extensive breakfast, in short a lovely place.

My friend and I ended up in Maria's accommodation due to a change of plans for a trip we had planned; we were greeted with kindness and immediately felt comfortable. The place was fantastic, the spa just as much and we were able to relax and enjoy two very relaxing days.

Staff was friendly and easy to work with. Rooms were simple but clean and well-priced. I'd stay here again!

Photographs, nor words, can truly capture what Andrea, his family and the staff who work there have created with La Portineria. It simply has to be experienced. We stayed in ‘Elettra’ with our son and small dog, and not only was the room perfect, the breakfast was a real treat and Mrs Nina made us feel like we were family. Dinner taken at Osteria Lanzati was also delicious - in particular their ‘terra’ tasting menu. As a further note, Cantina Bignotti’s wine tour was enjoyed by all of us, not only for learning about and sampling the wines themselves, but feeling the passion and love behind their creation: a feeling evident in every single detail of our whole trip.
