Susanne's place is beautiful, located in a wonderful, peaceful and quiet area, directly by the fjord. The house is fantastic and spacious and we felt right at home. The surroundings are wonderful, great hikes and splendid nature. We hiked to Middagshaugen (the hike trail starts really close to the house), visited Skjerhalden (just few minutes down the road by car) visited Bergen, did a Fjord cruise on Hardangerfjord and spent the rest of the time reading and cooking. We would recommend a car, as this makes getting around easy. Absolutely wonderful stay, would definitely come back.

Jan heeft een prachtig huis. Het ligt op het eiland, waardoor je steeds dezelfde weg moet rijden wanneer je iets wil ondernemen, maar dat weegt niet op tegen het prachtige uitzicht en de fijne rustige locatie. het huis is netjes, van alle gemakken voorzien. Op 1 kamer zijn gordijnen, verder niet, dat was even wennen als het pas zo laat donker wordt. Voldoende opbergruimte. Flinke badkamer met lekkere douche. Leuke activiteiten te ondernemen, maar wel een uur rijden minimaal (over een mooie route). we hebben erg genoten!

Trine and her charming family are very friendly and accommodating. The nice apartment offered is in a 100 years old and well maintained farmhouse with a stunning view and with an immediate proximity to hiking in the mountains where you will find rivers with beautiful waterfalls ans crystal clear pools. This is as genuine as it gets.

Nous avons adoré cette maison, décorée avec goût dans un style nordique et dotée d' une terrasse magnifique surplombant le fjord de Modalen, le logement est incroyable. L'un des meilleurs que nous ayons eu lors de notre road trip. Nous le recommandons vivement.

Vi overnattet i to dager og var veldig fornøyde!!!! Vertene er veldig gjestfrie. Da vi, slitne fra veien, kom inn i huset, ble vi møtt med hygge, renslighet, varme og komfort. For det yngste barnet var det til og med en rekke spennende brettspill, som han var veldig fornøyd med. Og utsikten over fjorden fra terrassen er rett og slett fantastisk!!!!! Vi ville virkelig ikke forlate, og hvis mulig kommer vi gjerne tilbake igjen.🤗🤗🤗

Sehr nette Gastgeber, wundervolles Haus und schöne Umgebung. Ruhiges Umfeld und kaum Verkehr. Perfekt zum nachdenken und abschalten.

My partner and I loved staying here! The location is magical, tucked into the mountains. We found it calm and relaxing. Anne Hilde was a very generous and kind host. The apartment was warm, cosy and clean. There was plenty of hot water and firewood and the kitchen was decently equipped. We would definitely recommend it!

Nice old house in beautiful surroundings. There is not much right there (no shops or restaurants) so you should have your own vehicle or have everything you need with you. We had a bit too much luggage for the walk from the train station (over a little hill and across a bridge), so Hroar helpfully drove our luggage back their on our way out.
