A perfect stay with a lovely family as hosts. Right from the booking to the day of check-in and beyond, Chanuka was very proactive in checking on us, recommending modes of travel, nearby restaurants, and everything! We had a warm welcome by Chanuka's father with a refreshing welcome drink who showed us around the place and offered assistance anytime. Just as a family member would, he advised us to be careful while stepping out at night, offered to cook food, made us feel very welcome and right at home. Meeting and interacting with Chanuka and his lovely family was truly a pleasure. Mango House 1 is just perfect in every aspect with every facility available for a comfortable stay, and is maintained very well with great personal attention. We were even offered an authentic Sri Lankan breakfast and it was super delicious and healthy. I gladly 100% recommend Chanuka's Mango House 1 as the best place to stay in Galle for a loving memory to cherish always!

We had a very pleasant stay! Everything was as described, great and calm location but still close to Hikkaduwa. Especially having wonderful and helpful housekeepers made the stay very relaxing.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ghazzali's place. Ghazzali was super friendly and helpful. The property is beautifully furnished and we really appreciated the thoughtful decor. We really felt at home, it is definitely not the bare and souless experience you get with a lot of Airbnb properties. We are a family of 5 and the property layout worked really well for us. Everyone had enough space plus the washing machine was a godsend! Everything was spotlessly clean and worked perfectly. Can't recommend Ghazzali and the property enough!

Dear Lahiru, and Uncle, Just a heartfelt thank you for a wonderful stay at your villa on Lake Koggala, truly one of the highlights of our trip. Peaceful, relaxing, and full of unforgettable moments. The setting was magical. Waking to the sounds of wildlife, watching bats sweep across the sunset sky, it all felt alive and special. The variety of birds was incredible, and the monkeys made us feel like nature was putting on a show. The pool was a favorite for both me and our 12-year-old—simple joy at its best. The food was another highlight: every meal delicious, full of local flavor, and clearly made with care. After days of exploring, surfing, and touring, returning to the villa felt like stepping into paradise. The sunsets over the lake and the peaceful energy helped us slow down and truly soak it all in. We stayed at the place for two nights. Nick was super friendly and easy to communicate. And the guy who was there to help us was fantastic. He helped us with everything during the stay. We were extremely delighted with the way they treated us. And the place was super nice, clean and surrounding was as described. Would wanna recommend this place to others as well.

Darshaka and his mother are very kind and helpful and we had a warm welcome. Darshaka advices and helped us booking all kind of tours. His mother is an absolute cooking queen! If you want she can cook the most delicious dishes for you or she can give you a cooking class so you can learn and experience Sri Lanka’s local tasts😋. I would certainly recommend this place if you want to feel at home!

The old chilli house really did feel like a home from home. In a great location Kris and his family were very warm and welcoming. Kris is a natural host and had contacts for anything we wanted to do. From Tuk Tuk and Scooter rides when needed to his amazing knowledge of the area. We were so lucky to experience this little slice of paradise. The old chilli house has beautiful rooms, with attention to small, homey details. Do not hesitate to book, it’s a popular airbnb for a reason!
