The place was absolutely beautiful in such a fantastic area. Lovely waking up and seeing all the animals. Wessel was a great host and so accommodating. Will definitely come back again!

Lakeview Cottage was fabulous. Clean facilities & clean linen. Lots of hot water. Beautiful garden & view, albeit distant. The trees are magnificent & we enjoyed the fire pit. Only suggestion is to offer a bit more firewood as there seems to be plenty available on the property. We bought extra for second night. But that’s just a small observation. Everything else was lovely. I would happily recommend to friends.

Wendy is a very responsive host and very accommodating. I booked very last minute and she was right there to make sure everything went smoothly. I would love to stay there again

Lawrie was very welcoming, most helpful and offered lots of great advice on where to find good birding spots (most of which we explored). Roads were difficult after the heavy rain experienced in the area but I expect this is not the norm. Siphiwe - Lawrie's helper - also came in daily to clean and she too was a delight. The cabin is comfy, well-appointed and everything we needed was provided to have a great self-catering experience. Highlight was hiring a boat with the extra-ordinarily knowledgeable bird guide Lucky / Nhlanhla at Nibela Lodge to explore photographic opportunities on the lake - it was so good we did it twice! Loved the kitties visiting and the doggies keeping us company. All in all, it was a great stay, thank-you Lawrie and Martin.
