Great place , beatiful surroundings ..Love it !!

We had a magical Easter weekend at this peaceful, well-functioning farmstay. The cozy, well-equipped cottage made us feel instantly at home. Tracy, our host, was incredibly proactive, accommodating, and welcoming — regularly checking in to ensure we were comfortable. When our car got stuck in the mud after heavy rains, farmhands Winnie and Rico were absolutely outstanding — warm, capable, and went above and beyond to assist us. It was heartwarming to experience such genuine hospitality. The kids had a safe and joyful time exploring the farm, and we all enjoyed rowing in the dam, playing tennis, and biking through the trails. Waking up to Nguni cows and horses in the sunrise was restorative. Highly recommended!

Deborah's cottage is special. We spent 7 days there and enjoyed every minute. Deborah was a gracious and patient hostess and ensured that we were well looked after. The cottage is so cozy. The fact that it is off the grid is a huge plus. There is a large fireplace in the lounge and the beds are really comfortable. There are beautiful walks through the bluegum and pine forests that are not strenuous at all. You can also cycle through the forests. We used the canoe provided and loved every minute. If you want a peaceful holiday in a tranquil setting that is far away from the chaos of the city, then this is the place to visit. We would love to return.

We booked both cottages on the property for a long overdue family break. Everything was perfect...in fact more than perfect. Each house was well equiped and the 3 toilets in each house was super useful with so many people. The surroundings was tranquil and relaxing. Remember to: 1. pack some apples to feed the horses. 2. pack trainers as there are some lovely walks 3. pack swimming shoes and towels. The hosts were so accomodating and easy to communicate with. The property much more than we hoped for. Do not hesitate to book.

We absolutely loved our stay! The setting is incredibly peaceful, with breathtaking views of the river and mountains. Whether we were relaxing on the day bed or simply soaking in the natural beauty, every moment felt special. Our children had an amazing time making the fire for the hot tub, chopping wood, and swimming in the river—it was the perfect outdoor adventure for them! The tented camp itself is beautifully designed inside and out, blending comfort with nature effortlessly. This was truly a magical escape, and we can’t wait to come back! Highly recommended.

If you looking for a home away from home, peace and tranquility, then this is just the place. Everything you need , just pack your own food and you don’t have to step out. The dam was such a bonus and my son enjoyed fishing for bass with some great catch and release.The setting is truly amazing. The cottage is well thought out from appliances in the kitchen to the scullery ,It has everything you need. An amazing fireplace and the weird weekend weather did not bother us.Thank you Gavin , our stay was truly memorable.

When spontanously looking for an accomodation in the Drakensberg, we stumbled over Emmas beautiful cottage. The road to this little cottage was a bit adventourous, but totally worth it. On the one hand you can go on the most amazing hikes close by and on the other hand relax at the lovely little cottage. Thanks to Emma we had a fantastic stay and can recommend staying here to a 100%.
