Great spot for a long stay! Had a great time staying at Green Gables for a month.

The area is in a quiet neighbourhood. It may take a bit of time to go to Central areas like Gion. However, this is exactly what I would like to come back to after a long day outside - peace. The neighbourhood also has a lot of things to do a see, all walkable distance. Plenty of options for convenient stores and restaurants too.

I had an absolutely wonderful time. I spend a couple of weeks in the apartment and it really did feel like a home, not just a resting place on Holliday. whenever I had questions, I got a response almost always right away. communication, in person or through the app, was always super friendly and helpful. when i wasn't sure which metro to take, I got a very detailed description of where to go. including a time table. which is just one of the many ways that I was helped during my stay. the song recommendations and cute cat videos made the stay more fun. I loved watching them while I was in the bus. the place was peaceful, which was important for me. there is a bus right in front of the building and 2 other lines within 10min walking. no matter where in Kyoto I had to go, there was always easy transport closeby. all in all I had a wonderful time. not just because of Kyoto, but also because of the apartment and host. I will definitely go back there if/when I have the chance.

This was a comfortable and functionable place to stay. It's quite a way out of the cente of Kyoto but public transport is exellent with a bus stop right outside the building. The host met me at the property and was very helpful, giving me lots of information.

Masami is extremely helpful. When I first reserved my room, he sent so much information about the surrounding area. The room was similar to a studio apartment. It was completely separated from other guests, so it was like renting an apartment. Green Gables is located in the northern part of Kyoto. The surrounding area is very peaceful, but it's still easy to travel to other parts of the city. Kitaoji bus & Subway terminal is only a mile or so from Green Gables. I walked the entire way several times, but you can also take a bus directly to it, making travel seamless. You can walk to Daitoku-ji Temple in about 10 minutes (a nice and calm place to go sightseeing). Kyoto Botanical Garden is pretty close as well. Check out was so smooth. Masami also drove us to Kyoto Station, making our trip home so much easier. When I return to Kyoto in the future, I'll be staying at Green Gables. It was the perfect place to stay!

This was our fifth visit to Kyoto and this was my most favorite accommodation. While this is a small studio apartment so many things stood out to make this such a spectacular stay. Sandwiched between the canal and the Kamo river, you can enjoy views of the river at dawn or sunset or step out to tree lined canals. The apartment is well appointed with everything you’d need for a short stay, from cooking yourself a simple meal to doing laundry. I enjoyed being able to step out quickly to explore, shop, or grab a bite experiencing the energy and noise of the city, but be able to quickly dip back into the quiet and peace of the neighborhood and apartment. Finally, Ken was such a responsive and kind host. I’d love to come back.

A month's stay here is very comfortable. As the room is a small apartment, you get a feel for how a local might live. Everything was clean, and I never had trouble with noise from neighbors or traffic. The location is excellent. There are numerous grocery stores nearby and a variety of restaurants. One can reach Kyoto's sights and busier areas conveniently through public transportation. Masami-san is a great and knowledgeable host. I never felt unable to reach him or unsure about how things worked. Checking in and out was straightforward. Really, I couldn't have asked for more.

Junko's apartment has what you need for A short and longer stay in Kyoto. Comfortable bed, balcony, TV, closet for all your clothes, Functional and easy to use Kitchen plus bathroom with bidet and bathtub. Fast internet makes this one of the best value for your money options in Kyoto. The Northern stop right next to the apartment building of Bus 46 takes you right to the Big Attractions of Kyoto. Nijo Castle, Karasuma, Kawaramachi, Kamo River, Gion and Heian Shrine in less than 40 minutes.

A perfect spot for anyone looking for a quiet and peaceful retreat, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We made a small mistake and forgot to return the key when checking out, so we ended up leaving it at Kyoto Station. Bella was very understanding and went out of her way to pick it up, which we truly appreciated. Overall, a wonderful stay in a serene location—highly recommend it if you're seeking calm and relaxation!

This Japanese-style home offered a wonderfully authentic Kyoto experience. It's set in a quiet, green area, surrounded by nature, yet still conveniently close to stores, the train, and restaurants. The house itself is spacious and fully equipped with everything you need. I really enjoyed morning runs in the peaceful neighborhood and coffee in the garden. Highly recommend for a relaxed, local feel!

It’s a great place to stay when coming to visit, especially if you have a big group since there’s lots of room.

Haruka's apartment is situated very near Saiin-Station (5min walk) and its restaurants in a quite street. There is a supermarket 4min walk in the other direction. It is big with 2 bedrooms, a great bathroom, a washing-machine and everything you can need to cook in the tiny kitchen as well as spices, oil, tea, coffee... There are also brochures about Kyoto's attractions and a very interesting book about Japan's history. The best part of our stay at Haruka's House was to meet the owners (they live upstairs), who welcomed us as we arrived with many informations, japanese tea, fruits an sweats. As we left, the had looked for the train-connexions to our next destination and gave us nice advices as well as crackers for the trip. It was so nice, we felt at home from the first minute and we enjoyed so much their company. We even had the chance to borrow their bicycles to tour around Kyoto. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! We definitely hope to come back!!!

Staying at this AIRBNB was an amazing experience. The host was on top of everything, and was so nice. 👍 I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an escape from the city. The surroundings were breathtaking.

Micky is a great host! One of a kind! From the first day that we exchanged messages till the last day of our stay, she has been nothing but responsive, kind and considerate! Her recommendations were AMAZING, considering that we are a relatively large group of 5 adults and 2 toddlers! She even went that extra mile to help us to source for activities that were suitable for our twins! Even after we had checked-in, she made sure that we were well settled and gifted us the yummiest belgium waffles the next day together with books suitable for our twins to read during their stay! My twins still calls her home the "pretty house"! The home was so cosy and perfect for our 6 nights stay! Imagine the space our twins had to play and run after each other! The kitchen was well-equipped and we had everything that we needed for home cooked meals! The entire home was clean and there was also a vacuum cleaner provided! And if you have the chance, please book the private chef experience!! AMAZING!!
