Ryokan vacation rentals in Ukyo Ward

Very nice accommodation, we stayed there with 4 without any problems. It is well located, not too far from the train station, ideal for daytime getaways. Possibility to access konbini a 5/10 minute walk away. 2 bikes were available to us if we wanted. The main room is very large and very pretty. The place is fully air conditioned, perfect for hot or cold nights. The 2 bedrooms were very clean and comfortable. Big enough so that we don't step on each other at 4. The little outdoor bath was a very nice touch. It was very easy to prepare and use. Everything is clearly stated in a book on the table upon arrival (for air conditioning, machine operation, etc...) A small downside, the stairs are quite steep, almost climbing. So it's not recommended for seniors, for example. In conclusion, clean, pretty, spacious, well-located home.

Nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Location gives fantastic access to the city through the Green Line (Karasuma). Easy to access from Kyoto Station shinkansen. Less than ten minute walk to the Aeon Mall. All facilities in working order. The washing machine is very useful in extending the usefulness of your carried clothing.

It was really a japanese style house. We had a pleasent short stay here. Everything was perfect.

We had a great stay in Kyoto at the Gojo Miyabi Inn! Yumi was a wonderful host, she welcomed us and gave us a run down of the home and some helpful local recommendations. Very clean place with a great traditional feel. Comfortable beds, in a quiet neighbourhood, with a 24hr grocery and 711 within a 5 minute walk. Very close to Kyoto station and subway stations, highly central! Would highly recommend.

We had a fantastic stay at this beautiful, historic house in Kyoto. The location was ideal—central yet wonderfully quiet, allowing us to relax while still being close to everything. A friend of the host kindly met us in person and guided us to the house, which was a lovely and much-appreciated touch. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the instructions for check-in and using the amenities were clear and easy to follow. We truly enjoyed our time here and would highly recommend this unique and peaceful place to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Mayumi was very helpful and sweet with the entire process, including answering all the questions I had! Location was perfect with convenience stores nearby, along with great restaurants and a park for the kids. The house was beautiful and just like the pictures. AC in each room was nice and great amenities too! Perfect for large family 11/10 recommend !!

We had a great stay! It was a good fit for three people and there was room for more. The decor was nice and the overall feel of the home was cozy. It was also close to the bus stop so it was easy to get to the busier areas of Kyoto. The host was responsive during our stay as well!

Katsuya's home is absolutely gorgeous. Every detail is so well considered. He has left a biography of the artists whose work is in the house, and a brief history of the renovation as well, which I found fascinating. Nothing is overlooked. A wonderful experience.

Just as lovely and cozy as when we stayed five years ago. This Machiya exudes calm upscale elegance. Beautiful view. Spa like bath area. Spacious and airy. Convenient location and now with a second great cafe right next door!

This house is located in a fantastic location, only a 6 min walk from the nearest station. Shiho, the host, was very accommodating. She greeted us as we arrived and gave a house tour. She also asked how we were going and made sure everyone was okay, something that is rarely done for Airbnb hosts. Everything in the house was clean and organised, the beds and futons were comfortable, and overall we had a great time staying at this place.

Wonderful arcade setting with great shops & restaurants, and easy canal-side walking to Gion and Kiyomizudera. Great public transport at top end of arcade to other parts of the city. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our stay and wished we had booked longer. Very nice and peaceful location. Train station is about a 20 minute walk or there’s plenty of bus routes they provided information about. The house is really spacious. Definitely worth the money. Will return if I come back to Kyoto!

the house is beautiful, especially the family room is very worthwhile. the bathroom is common but this never gave problems. the breakfast was really exquisite, the staff one by one very sympathetic. ok would very much like to go back.

Amazing stay away from tourist areas. The house was extremely peaceful and beautiful. Renting bikes was easy and would highly recommend it. You wake up to breakfast already set in the common room and everyone is so friendly and helpful!

Staying at this AIRBNB was an amazing experience. The host was on top of everything, and was so nice. 👍 I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for an escape from the city. The surroundings were breathtaking.
