For de mer aktive byr område på mange fine turmuligheter og andre aktiviteter. Huset er også et bra utgangspunkt for fine utflukter til Hardangerfjorden. For de minste finnes det også et eget lekerom med klatrevegg. Huset nås enkelt med bil. Det er også enkelt å nå huset med hurtigbåt fra Bergen/Rosendal.
